Bravos garb (100 sp) Background Jaeros grew up in Braavos, son of a sailor(Lazaro), and his wife(Vellora) who served as a cook at a decent inn near the Purple harbor. Jaeros caught the eye of Maerros Dynel, a bravos around 10, and shortly thereafter began his training as a waterdancer. By 13, Maerros had deemed Jaeros sufficiently skilled that he could wear a sword around town. With all the arrogance of a young teen, and against his Vellora's wishes, Jaeros signed on as a deckhand with the Blue Lily, a ship headed to Pentosh. Unfortunately, the Blue Lily was captured by Mereenese slavers a days travel from Pentosh. Jaeros was lucky, he was purchased by Gaznil mo Kukne, destined to eventually end up in the Mereen fightng pits. Fortunately for Jaeros, Gaznil put in at Pentosh before heading to Mereen. As Jaeros was unknown in Pentosh, Gaznil arranged a private fight for a Magister, and his Westeros guest. Jaeros was pitted against a wounded crew meber of the Blue Lily on the Magister's horse. Jaeros killed the horse, not his wounded crewmate. Gaznil was enraged at having to pay for the horse. Fortunately, Waylar Sand liked what he saw of Jaeros, and paid Gaznil for Jaeros before the whipping had started. Thankful for his freedom, Jaeros found himself in Pentos, as planned but without the wealth he expected to have. Faced with the choice of traveling to the barbaric lands of Westeros, or facing his angry parents, Jaeros arranged for word to be sent back to Lazaro and Vellora that he was alive and well, and working for a house in Dorne.
