Sinfonie Schädeldieb Sinfonie steps ashore with relative ease compared to her shorter companions, taking the opportunity to stretch a kink out of her back that's been developing all day. Sinfonie Schädeldieb Sinfonie shakes her head at Goswin's question. "I don't know what that was, but it sounds bad. If no ore has been coming out of the town, then who's been mining? We should be careful" She checks her trusty club is ready to go and looks nervously at the path to the village.

Sinfonie Schädeldieb Rattled by the scene of devastation, Sinfonie swears under her breath. "poo poo and blood, what a mess. Where the hell is everyone?" She moves around cautiously, casting her eyes about for clues as to what happened to the townsfolk. Hoping that maybe they won't need to go all the way to the mine find a witness. "Hey, can we check this place out before we go further? There might be...survivors, or something."

Sinfonie Schädeldieb "Sigmar's Hairs!" Sinfonie yells and dives for the ground as the ball that whistles over Nagaw's head nearly catches her instead. She stands up and dusts herself off a little sheepishly before going into the inn. "Uh...yes, greetings And apologies for startling you. Are you a resident here? Do you know what happened?" Gossip TN 51: 1d100 43 She winces when Nagaw mentions witch hunters, that memory is a little too raw. That accent sounds distinctive...can Sinfonie place it? Sinfonie Schädeldieb Taking her turn at the spyglass, Sinfonie then looks at Bianca to see if there's any hint this is a strange village wide prank. She looks serious, and Nagaw seems to know something about this. "Thagg-what? Are they some kind of...small beastmen?" Secret Signs (Thief) TN 34: 1d100 16 Sinfonie is able to spell out a small message in reply: "On Legitimate Business, Not Breaching Territory. Can I Assist You?"

Sinfonie Schädeldieb Sinfonie sighs in resignation and takes another look through the spyglass. "Well, I don't think we can go back to the burghers of Hergig and say 'ratmen killed everyone' and not get laughed out of town. I suppose we'll have to try to rescue some of the townsfolk. Bianca, have you got any kind of head count? What are there response times like?" She pauses mid sentence. "Are they likely to investigate the sound of your shot?"

Sinfonie Schädeldieb Sinfonie assists Finn in restraining the boat boy. "Hey, lets not get killed straight away, huh? Goswin, don't be stubborn. If the dwarves call them skaven, then that's good enough for me. As for fighting...I know which end of a weapon is which, I guess. Be much happier if it's not a fair fight. Maybe we can get them drunk?" Down underground sounds worrying to her. Does this pub have a cellar? When Finn is secure she goes to check for her own paranoid sake.

Sinfonie Schädeldieb After helping herself to a surreptitious glance at the salacious carvings Sinfonie returns upstairs with a few bottles of beer. "If we're going to do this stupid thing, at least let's toast Ranald first." She holds a bottle out defiantly. "God of fortune, bless this crew as we do something foolish for bad reasons!"

Sinfonie Schädeldieb Walking back into the room after settling one of the weaker citizens down with a restorative ale and lump of cheese, Sinfonie realizes that things are a little heated and makes conciliatory noises. "Nagaw, if you could just give these people a moment? They've all had a bad time, and we don't need to go around blaming anyone for their past mistakes, do we?" She eases the slayer's hand off Krauss's collar, pushes the man gently away and dusts him off a little. "There. Now, I think some introductions are in order. I'm Sinfonie, I've come from Hergig with young Goswin, Mr Murrie, Mr Finn, and Mr Nagaw. We're...adventurers, sent to find out what happened here. I can see you have a rat-shaped beastmen problem. Sinfonie Schädeldieb Sinfonie shakes her head. "No, we haven't seen him. But that doesn't mean anything, we've hardly started looking." When the little boy talks, she kneels down and smiles at him. "Of course we are! That dwarf with the spiky hair? He's going to chop up all those rats with his big axe! Then we're going to find everyone they took away and bring them back!" There's no shame in telling a child comforting lies, right? Sinfonie is pretty sure that they could get out of town on foot and make it back to the boat, go find another town and bring back some militia, or state troops even.

Sinfonie Schädeldieb Ah. Sinfonie winces as everyone seems to take her pep talk a little too seriously. Nagaw still seems pretty confident they can drive the rats out of town, and so long as he goes first that seems fair enough. "I'd hole up in here, honestly. The bank might be stronger, but at least here you have supplies for a little while. Speaking of supplies, we should check the guard houses first, see if there's anything we can use."

Sinfonie Schädeldieb "Alright, everybody stay inside and away from the windows. We'll be back as soon as we can." There's a fine line between a defiant grin and a terrified grimace, and Sinfonie is dancing all over that line as she follows the team outside.

Sinfonie Schädeldieb "Uh..." The sight of the mutant monstrosity momentarily stuns Sinfonie into silence, which is broken by the defiant yells of the slayer as he charges. Moments like these are what separate out adventurers from common folk or 'sane people'. A few days ago Sinfonie would have taken the opportunity to run like everyone who wished to live would. No one could blame her. But some cold piece of steel in her belly grips her instead, and instead of fleeing the town for the dubious safety of the woods she charges the two-headed creature, battering it's left arm.: Attack vs 63 (Big Mutant, charge, outnumber): 1d100 14 Melee Damage: 1d10+3 6 Although it's doubtful the creature will even feel the impact, she feels pretty good about helping. Sinfonie Schädeldieb Sinfonie gives the mutant a final kick and wipes her cudgel clean on the grass. She feels better about this whole affair now, much more confident. After all, what could the rats have that's worse than this? She doesn't voice that thought. Instead she replies to to Finn. "I've got a lantern.
