Yarr Captains Blackbeard, Leatherwing, and the Red Pirate Queen showed that the Pirates version of Adventure Capitalism was superior to the Commies socialism 175-0. Dice were really the deciding factor. Lost map roll and ended up being on no water which was unfortunate. The pirates struck first with a big shot from leatherwing on the Bike for 4 which was absolutely huge since that thing is a drat terror. Red Guardian with a self leadership and power gem boost then tried to fight most of my pirates himself. The captain like a true pirate said that Darwin was actually punched, leatherwing ate 2 and the duck dodged. The bike tried to hit leatherwing and drag him back but missed, and then leatherwing KO'd it to get a click back and triton KO'd the replacement widow. Every time Winter Soldier would try to attack he'd attempt to EE me but the duck had a continuity token each time he tried and his roll of "a number and a 1" became a 2 and a 1. Elblanco and I had our Cowboys vs. Amazons game tonight. I kind of surprisingly won map choice, and so took us to the water map that was uploaded for the Pirate team, since it was nicely wide-open for gunslinging. But there was just enough hindering terrain in the middle that Elblanco was able to hide the important players behind a wall of Amazon Warriors that Batman had taught how to be Stealthy. The Lone Ranger managed to land an opening shot on one Warrior who was out in the open, but the Cowboys had no other targets, and had to weather the opening storm. Miles managed to make his Shape Change to not be smashed by Grail, but that just meant that she and Wonder Woman took Steve Rogers down immediately. After that, I focused all of my fire on Grail, who survived for several turns, but finally fell, although she and Wonder Woman took a few more cowpokes down in the process. After that, though, it was a battle of ranged fighters that were based by close fighters, and the Cowboys were only able to take one more Warrior with them to Boot Hill. Elblanco picked up the win with 400 points, and I came away with 95.

A little strapped for cash after a move but I was able to get a single WW80 pack, got lucky and pulled a SR Ares though! Not sure what I'd use him with, but outside of his gimmick, he hits like a loving truck, so I really want to try him out at some point.

In the rematch of Communism versus Adventure Capitalism the socialists again won map roll which was the decisive factor in their victory 115-10. We played on the NYC rooftops where the pirates played elevation and passenger games to keep away from the long arm of socialism. But brave widow was able to get a punch on leatherwing and move him into a spot where comrade soldier with an outwit assist from comrade wasp was able to mercilessly execute the Pirate. Darwin ran out to be annoying but was ganged up on and ground to a KO. The bike was attacked by Blackbeard but made its senses roll, the duck then hit and KO'd the bike but most importantly there was no follow up to KO the widow who popped out. Her outwit was also useful. The pirates removed the power gem from Red Guardian and then hit him over the head with it. The game ended as the communists made a tactical withdrawl to another rooftop and the pirates ran over. Standings! The Amazons beat the Cowboys once again, as Batman does not like guns. I lost map but we played on the Gotham streets, and that had enough hindering and obscuring for the stealthed Amazon Warriors to deny any ranged combat. Forced to get in close, with Hippolyta sending reinforcements and Grail breaking up formations and yanking dudes into killbox range, the Cowboys were swarmed and went down under a hail of Amazon blades. Sheriff Steve Rogers was the standout, as he got on a rooftop and, with an assist from Lilah, picked off any Amazon Warrior he could see. Five Warriors fell before Grail got to him, for a final score of 400-100.

Aha! For once my "place I ordered from didn't have the figure I wanted but still sent the order without asking me what to do" luck worked out for me, ordered a full set of House of X and the guy didn't have Apocalypse A, asked me in an email if I'd be alright with him putting the prime SR version in instead or potentially waiting a couple days for him to get the regular one, I didn't see it so he sent it with the substitution which yeah, I'm pretty alright with that. Might still end up getting the other one at some point just cause I like the A dial quite a bit as well but for now, that's gone pretty well for me.

Surprisingly, Latveria fell easily to Morand's scurvy dogs. One Energy Explosion could have weakened them severely, but instead I landed a couple clutch ones, one of which was a crit and finished off Doombot, Valeria, and Puppet Master. From there it was a slog to try to beat down Lord Doom, who elblanco swapped in. I didn't manage to KO him or Revolutionary, but I did manage to pummel a cosmic-level being with time-displaced Thing, a.k.a. Blackbeard.

Comprehensive Rulebook is up. As expected, it's mostly the stuff missing from the "Core" rules. Also, hindering is listed as being a "green and white checkered boundary line." There are no definitions given for solid green lines. Ergo, hindering no longer exists on older maps.

It's a PDF for me, but HA for it being a PDF of a list-format Word document. At least it doesn't have a bunch of idiotic fluff in it. Without having actually read over it yet, this formatting might in fact help find things more easily. EDIT: Double HA. They don't even have the die symbols everywhere they should be when talking about roll results. They also couldn't be bothered to add in the bolts. I guess they couldn't be bothered to do Insert→Picture. EDIT 2: At least it has hyperlinks in the TOC. EDIT 3: Huh. Peanut bases are standard characters now. Gave it a quick pass. Here's what jumped out at me enough to mention to my players: Themed Team PC uses go up per 100 points of the build total, to a suggested maximum of 5. You can win the game by scoring more points than your opponent! You can't be given costed actions if you have 2 tokens. Giants and colossal characters once again block lines of fire from higher elevations to the squares behind them. Knockback is in a direct path. It is stopped by walls, blocking, higher elevations, and falling to a lower elevation. It is NOT stopped by characters. Destroyed Barrier markers leave behind rubble. That rubble goes away when the Barrier would have. You CAN carry characters that are holding objects. You CANNOT carry both a character and an object. Heavy objects still don't do anything. They don't even hinder lines of fire. You still need Super Strength to pick them up.
