so me and my friend started playing again after not having played much since 2015ish. played a ton of 300 point games with the new rules and mostly marvel pieces from 2012-15 it plays really well imho. the game is just much more fun when the game doesnt revolve around alpha strikes so much, beatsticks with damage reducers are very strong even with super strength "nerfs", stealth is still a pretty great power but it is so much easier to handle without including stealthbuster specialists because of knockback being everywhere and unavoidable. the breakaway rules + the lack of pushing damage makes for some very interesting games when you have a range focused team vs a team lacking ranged attackers. having a good amount of perplex simply wont let hawkeye punch someone for 5 damage in close combat anymore and i quite like it this way!!! i probably used quake more times last week than in all of my clix career combined and i started playing in clobberin time (pulled red ring thing in my second booster ever!!!) try playing cavalry charge wonder woman from dc75 if you think removing knockback damage from the game was a bad idea while having no power that stops knockback. the cheaper giants like IIM dreadnoughts and cw giantman feel kinda op with the willpower on 3+. dreadnought is extra op for having empower now when thats the only way to turn your range piece into a brawler pieces that have one click of running shot before turning into charge, super strength, energy shield, and cce are actually really good now instead of unplayable garbage!!!!??? i love 89 point bucky cap from captain america now, the dial is finally good after being poo poo for 10 years!! CapnAndy posted:To me the state of Super Strength/Heavy Objects reads as "we don't know what we want this power to do, but we know it's not this". I expect once they figure it out, they'll come back into prominence. for me it reads as " we are looking to limit everything that adds damage" superstrength with a +2 damage object would be pretty much the only way to get a +2 to damage in the current rules.

we used team sheets for the first few years then we just stopped using them. so one time i brought 400 points to a 300 point tournament by accident and nobody caught it until after i had lost the first two rounds . whats your most shameful heroclix moment?

our by far best player would get screaming angry at his dice A LOT. he was a very nice person to other players otherwise and outside the game he was very mature and kind so we just found it kinda funny.
