Problem description: Just signed up for Verizon Fios Gigabyte service and I can't seem to figure out how to get this bitch in bridge mode because the wireless signal on this thing sucks butts. Plugging my Router directly into the LAN port on the G1100 as the install tech recommended results in lovely slow/bad speeds. Attempted fixes: Attempted to Google instructions but there doesn't seem to be any concise guide/manual to do this without a bunch of weird poo poo steps that don't make sense. I am a dumb baby and need help. -- System specs: Verizon Quantum Gateway G1100 / Netgear R6400 Location: United States I have Googled and read the FAQ: Yes Edit: So far the two resolutions I found are to have Verizon change the ONT to the Ethernet or to assign a static IP to my router and throw it in the DMZ of the G1100. Does anyone know which will result in a better solution. Googled harder and solved my own problem. theSpokeyDokey fucked around with this message at 17:11 on Sep 5, 2017 |
