It seems like something they would target as part of their attempts to prevent people from evading geoblocking, but maybe they're smart enough to only block users whose billing addresses are in a different country from the data center. Rolling your own VPN is just about the best way to prevent geo-blocking; services who geo-block are in 99% of cases just blocking VPN ranges by IP (literally blocking the IPs company-x owns).
