People don't contact me directly with criticism and complaints, it only occurs on public forums, and I feel kind of obligated to experience it lest I grow complacent among people sending me bland praise. And just watching without acknowledging I'm there or contributing feels rude? I don't think I'm good at meshing with SA culture though, and I feel bad about that. I am not very good at this. This is just not true. I contact you directly with criticism and complaints fairly regularly.

On another note, anyone still mourning Poppy in here? If so, you might like Trash Knight. It seems to be in a similar vein, though it's overtly , which I actually prefer to Poppy's dancing around it and making me uncomfortable reading it in public without a clear warning about its content. The explicit pages even come spoilered as mature content! It seems to be a good read if you're into Dungeons & Dragons, anyway.

Just ditch the weekly comic format and come out with a proper book and sell it.

The slow-drip illustrated webnovel format really doesn't do it for me. You should really write a book.

I've never been too interested in print comics. I'd buy them if I was a fan of an online comic though. Bought some Lackadaisy merch back in the day.

The Silver Snail posted:A bit more on the "sundry" side of things, Awful Hospital is neat. One of the few "reader driven" comics left in the wake of MSPaint Adventures, Awful Hospital has a cartoonish horror vibe to it, and contains good jokes, absurd monster designs, and a very novel twist to the setting that is a lot of fun to think about. To be fair MSPaint Adventures hasn't been "reader driven" in a looooong time, but if you like interactive stories there's plenty of websites for them.

No way, Digger was a great story and the art is good. Nobody would praise and acclaim a mediocre webcomic just for sticking to an update schedule, no matter how flaky other creators were.

SlothfulCobra posted:The early stuff was more fun, jumping between jokes and kinda artsy serene moments with some weird takes on religion spliced in, but always tainted by a fairly misogynistic perspective. After he turned away from misogyny, he went in really hard on this weird surrealistic depiction of an abstract patriarchy which now his characters abstractly fight, and the religious figures are still in there, but it's not clear whether it's commentary or just because the characters were already in the comic. That's the thing right there. It went from a fairly misogynistic chauvinist perspective, to a fairly misogynistic feminist perspective. Ishida's attitude towards women never changed, only the ways in which he tried to restrict and objectify them.
