I didn't check all of the comic list sections, but for the goon made comics it seems like Bad Reputation and Ellie Starling's Very Long Walk have either changed domains or stopped altogether.

SardonicTyrant posted:I would like to get into Scary Go Round, but I don't know where to start. I started with the beginning of Bad Machinery when it was linked in a previous version of this thread. When folks post the earlier stuff with a drastically different style I have no idea who anyone is supposed to be.

Bobulus posted:I use feedly. The default is kinda ugly, but you can set it to be a lot more useful (IE, look like the old Google Reader), and then it syncs between the desktop version and the phone/tablet app, so you check on various devices throughout the day without looking at the same thing twice. I use feedly but rarely go to the feedly site. I mostly get my updates through the chrome extension Feedly Notifier which gives you a little number on the plugin tile when there's new updates and lets you open the updates from a popup window. This sets them as read in feedly so you're up to date if you open the feedly app or whatever: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/feedly-notifier/egikgfbhipinieabdmcpigejkaomgjgb?hl=en I've had it bug out before and fail to load anything but usually going to feedly and logging in again fixes it.

House of Orr taught me the Petals around the Rose game which I have taught to a couple of teachers who may have taught it to students. Fun comic, I kind of miss it and also No Scrying.

neogeo0823 posted:So Sword Interval seems to be wrapping up. It just dropped the comic title in the latest update, and poo poo's going downhill for everyone. A good time to catch up. I was hoping it was just all intro up to this point and now it gets real. It'd probably end up being pretty long if that were the case, though.

stab stabby posted:Someone linked a comic in here a few months ago that i binged and promptly forgot to bookmark. It was beautifully drawn and involved two bandits who got cursed by a wizard and they try to rob someone and get separated. One of the bandits ends up on a boat that gets destroyed in a storm. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Sounds like Basileus. I think I linked it a little while back. e: beaten

GlyphGryph posted:Has anyone here ever read the adaptation of The Snow Queen called Demon's Mirror? I also have not read the Snow Queen but did read Demon's Mirror. It had some weird pacing issues where new characters would show up and suddenly be on board with the current events, but it was alright. The author's next comic, A Better Place, ended a few months back. quote:A young girl named Hannah and her brother Theo found something cool in the woods.

I was a little surprised to see that Bobby Crosby's romcom movie is getting made instead of Last Blood which he seemed to be making to sell as a movie but somehow didn't get turned into one during the vampire/zombie craze. http://lastblood.keenspot.com/ I haven't looked at it in like 15 years before today but I remember a lot of over the top stuff like crashing a plane into a bunch of zombies or feral vampires or something.

I think the Widdershins RSS must have changed or something. I've been using Feedly for RSS feeds with the Feedly Notifier in chrome and the feed I was following (plus 891 other people since feedly shows you that number) stopped updating on the 22nd, while the feed currently on the site (followed by 22 other people on feedly) has the latest update. It's weird when these things break and I feel like I only go through my RSS feeds a couple of times a year to see if I missed something breaking unless I notice the absence. I guess I should check more often because: I keep some of them in there to remind me to go look for them sometimes though. Lot of dead comics I liked.

Tales from Alderwood has been posted in the CCCC webcomics thread (the good bad webcomics thread). There's also comics being posted piecemeal in there and also the PYF Comics thread if folks are looking to find stuff to read. BSS mods expunged the webcomics readers too hard for daring to be critical to webcomics, back in the day.

SavoyTruffle posted:Is this good? Does this work? I do not know what I am doing. Yes, that works. It doesn't have a preview image or anything but that's less important than an update showing up. Here's what it looks like on Feedly: Here's Widdershins (another goon comic): Here's what their raw rss feed page looks like, often the file is named .rss instead of .txt but rss readers don't care: https://www.widdershinscomic.com/comic/rss No need to change it if you just want to notify people about updates. Some comics will do a static image for their rss update, some will do a thumbnail or crop of the comic and you click through to the site to see it. Some will just plop the whole thing into the RSS as an image (like Widdershins). I use the feedly reader plugin on chrome to just open all the RSS updates which are usually like 1-10 and it will open a tab for each link in the different RSS feeds feedly knows has updated, but people have different methods. I think the main thing is just to have RSS so folks can read updates as they come out and there's a bunch of automated ways to do so.
