This is really nice, I like it a lot. No double jumping wall running bullshit. Just good ole traditional shootmans. Looks beautiful, runs great with everything on Extra but eventually starts hitching after 3-4 maps unless I restart. Seems fine on High. Saw a recon plane spawn nearly inside of another recon plane and bounce off each other until I shot one down    This shouldn't impress me but it does (the smoke shadow)

Lighting people on fire is loving awesome!!!! If you smash them straight on with a molotov they seem to flail around and scream extra long The fire is really pretty, the heat distortion is wild in motion. I feel like a pyro, or maybe a moth 🔥     Edit: I think they loving nailed the core gameplay. It takes a few unlocks to get where you're used to. You'll have extra long/fast sprint and 0 fall damage with dual handguns in no time. I hit the level cap (it's 30), you stop gaining overall experience but can still level weapons and divisions. Can we hit division rank 5? I'd like to see what the classified weapons are this weekend The final semi-automatic shotgun gets 9 rounds with the extended mag and is good as hell. I've been running around w/ that as infantry to use the extendo + rifling + rapid fire, have had a few pubbies rage out about it already. The M1A1 Carbine (final Assault Rifle) is like a semi-auto laser beam. The Waffle (final SMG) has an absurd rate of fire, I haven't unlocked anything for it yet because I was grinding grease gun I don't believe in sniping/scopes in CoD games so I can't tell you anything about that. I can tell you that the FMJ rounds are beefy if not outright necessary for domination when you need to shoot through cover Also finished a bugged challenge?  It's really something else to run through a room where there has recently been a fight and see burnt bodies writhing around next to dudes with one leg, the screaming is something else lol. More pictures of dudes on fire cause its like art, 2nd one is probably my favorite. This game is very cinematic.   War mode is cool, but frustrating without coordination. You absolutely need at least one guy if not two with smoke nades, and a decent sniper to go down on the lower riverbanks to snipe up into the MG emplacements. We made it all the way to escorting the tank but haven't outright won yet. I've never seen one of these before, never really thought about what you'd do about fire without running water  Edit: I hope there are more guns than this. I played through the first 3-4 single player missions earlier today thanks to New Zealand (can eat me). They aren't terrible. The manual healing is kind of obnoxious / had me shuffling around unnecessarily like I was bandaging up in PUBG. The system where your allies fluidly stop whatever they're doing to toss you a pack/nade is pretty cool. I would not bother playing on Veteran, it doesn't add much past tedium It's a compelling enough story. The banter is good. The quicktime events are kind of silly but whatever it's CoD. On max settings, the in-engine cinematics/gameplay look better than the pre-rendered cutscenes. You can tell they're slightly nicer in some aspects (like the shiny bits on the eyes and lip-syncing), but the compression artifacts really draw away from that unfortunately. I do like how there are multiple ways to solve most battles, and depending on how you choose to attack/flank, your communication with the team/the poo poo that happens varies slightly. I never thought I would be impressed with SP CoD, but they make other franchises look like they are standing still! There's definite actual improvement/progression here. There should be a quicktime event, it was mash F for me. Look for a letter in a circle somewhere. If it's just a normal fight press Q to melee Even Quake Champions, who is notorious for taking 45 minutes+ longer than they said they would to come online, is more prompt than this.
