Ryan seems like a fun knowledgeable guy in interviews. Patrick seems like he only watched the latest season and seems to be a real rear end in a top hat.

It's interesting to see the age range being 23-46. Seems like it's cast to try to make age not be a factor at all, nobody super young and no old fucks.

Simone seems to be super harsh and critical in interviews so far. Chances are her mouth will probably get her eliminated sooner rather than later, but there's also the chance she'll make it far longer than she should and continue annoying us me.

The premiere is only an hour this season. :(

There doesn't seem to be too much hype, plus a 1 hour premier, I'm a bit worried.

That elephant ate my entire platoon.
Does the pre-premiere hype usually correlate with people around here's enjoyment of the season? Seems like half the time e.g. Jeff gets all excited about something it’s a collective sigh round these parts.

Worst case we just post the Dave Ball clip endlessly at each other.

Watching you sleep.

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

The best part of these themes is the really, really forced ones.

Personally I enjoy the implication that "healers" aren't "heroes" and that "hustlers" sounds very "conny" and I thought was going to be a villain themed tribe but is actually people who "work hard" and are like surf instructors, fishermen, and diversity advocates.

I like to think about how much time Jeff and the Survivor producers sat around thinking of "h" words to force that last tribe together in.

Yeah, if you actually look at the seasons Jeff hypes vs. the ones he doesn't, there doesn't seem to be much correlation between the season actually being good or not. In the past few years he was really excited about 30, 31, and 33, and a lot softer on 28, 29, 32, and 34. I think all of the 28-34 run was pretty strong, but to me 28 and 32 were the two best of the bunch and 30 was the weakest so I don't really understand his excitement levels.

Going back even further he seemed really excited about 22 and 26, and a lot less excited about 25, so basically Jeff can be a weird dude.

What *does* concern me a bit is comparing Probst's attitude pre and post filming. I'll spoiler tag this just in case, but there's no actual spoilers here just giving my impressions based on Probst's interviews:
Pre-season he said that the cast was great and 17 out of the 18 people are people that are super likeable and could make a great winner. But I saw a recent post-season interview where he said the quality of the cast "remains to be seen" and that while they are confident about 70% of the cast, the other 30% might have to prove themselves. Probably there's nothing to this and Probst was in PR mode both times and just giving a standard canned answer to that sort of question and forgot he answered it a little differently the first time, but it still makes me nervous.

They said the actuary is a hero because she's a valedictorian who quit work to have kids and then went back and quickly became like a CFO again or something.

Anyway i'll say she's my pony. Pony: Chrissy. Hopefully she plays a big game and not a generic quiet older woman game. Poison: Roark. She's gonna be smug and annoying, I hope not but I can feel it.

Patrick's picture makes him look really weird. Like he goes to the gym only to work on his abs and nothing else.

Also yay? its back. This season doesnt seem to be very hyped. A hour premier cant be a good thing.

Man...I'm really glad that this season was filmed well before the national anthem protests flared up into a national deal. The last thing I'd want to hear is the Hero tribe rant about how much they like to stand for the special song.

Praying for a Millennials vs. Gen X season where the players ignored the gimmick rather than the Worlds Apart divides that never went away.
