You might have.won that trade if Prince continues to develop offensively and get boards. Especially considering JV is stuck in Casey's stupid nonsense big rotations.

I also just traded a rookie of the year candidate and COTY candidate for Jeff Teague so who knows??

This goes for other teams, I need a point guard. Plz trade with me (Timbercats)

I think very highly of Embiid right now so it'd take at least Kristaps to peel him off of me, but then again I don't even feel like trading him so you'd probably have to pay more than you're willing to get him. The only guy on your team with near value to Teague is Schroder and you need PGs, and I actually consider guys like Derozan to be worse than guys like Klay cus Klay actually gets defensive stats and nails more 3's.

I dunno, unless you want to bring Lebron, Porzingis, DeRozan, or Schroder into the mix then we don't really have a working trade here.

I'm honestly stumped at what to do when Isiah Thomas comes back, in my money league I've got him stashed on IR and Lillard, Dragic, Dennis Smith Jr., Reggie Jackson, and now Lonzo Ball on the main roster. No idea who I should be trying to trade there.

It's a pretty easy answer, just cut or trade DSJ or Lonzo depending on your league. It's easy to get infatuated with young flashy rookies but at the end of the day they both are poor shooters with unreliable stat lines. I almost always dump high performing rookies but then again I got Tatum this year and he's more of an established vet than a rookie.

Having Joe Ingles shooting like 75% on 3's is nice af too.

I should ban you for wishing injury upon my son and only heir but we all do it. Also the second best part about the first year of fantasy basketball is slowly realizing all the random guys who are incredibly valuable in 9 cat settings.

Like you'll have a guy like Ben Simmons on your team and you'll love him to death without realizing that he's ranked 60th in the league in 9 cat due to his lack of 3's, poor FT%, and high turnover rate, and guys like Thaddeus Young and Courtney Lee of all people are technically out performing him. The first year in a goon league I was like 11th place even though I drafted all triple double guys because I didn't know how valuable filling up every category was.

Edit: Seriously look at these rankings it's insane sometimes who's considered valuable in 9 cat https://basketballmonster.com/PlayerRankings.aspx

Yep I punt turnovers, FG% and FT%s and Dwights been returning 4th round value for me all year. I have 6 players in the top 5 using this model and a bunch more hovering before the top 100 which means theoretically I should grind out 6-3 wins all year which is sorta happening.

The only real surprise for me on the filtered list was Dennis Smith Jr. hanging out in the 11th round below such luminaries as John Henson, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, and 2017 Rudy Gay - I guess the highs seemed a lot higher than they actually were. I guess he's the guy who Isaiah Thomas is kicking out when he gets off of the IR.

Dwight and Victor Oladipo ($2 and $6 in a $200 cap auction) are my biggest steals at the moment (going for the same price as Gorgui Dieng and Jae Crowder, respectively) although market price LeBron ($48) never disappoints. Kawhi Leonard went for $45 in the same league.

We underrate the ability to not gently caress up. I think the most impressive statline DSJ has had in the last two weeks is a 27/6/2 game with 5 3's. That game he shot .435 with 100% on his FTs but also didn't really accumulate assists, any defensive stats, and turned the ball over 6 times. He also strings together games where he gets sub 5 assists or boards and a steal and a block which, despite the offensive production, doesn't make him that valuable for 9 cat.

What makes fantasy football or baseball bad?

Fantasy footballs bad because it's essentially gambling. Football statistics are wildly unreliable which sucks considering we only have 16 games and not 82 to work with. Consequently this makes fantasy baseball terrible because, while the stats can be predicted and you can build good, consistent teams, you're either stuck in a 162 game slog where you're ridiculously on top or on bottom of the Roto chart, or you get bounced from the first round of the H2H playoffs because everyone on your team cooled off despite mashing all year.

Fantasy basketball is right in the nice groove between these two sports.

Also fantasy hockey is what they make you play in hell as an ironic twist of fate

It depends on the team you're building. I'd probably stick with Steph because he's returning top 5 value in full 9 cat but if you're punting certain categories then an argument can be made for Embiid. The injury risk is somehow the same even though Curry is currently injured. But that's Embiid for you.

Also I shoulda added more one more IR spot and I'll prob and that as a setting next year because it sure does suck having to roster Dedmon for this long waiting for Teodosic or Fultz to heal up so I can swap IR spots.

If it makes you feel better he's barely ranked ahead of guys like Dinwiddie, Kyle Anderson, and his own Larry Nance Jr. cus Kuzma doesn't really get anything besides higher fg%, 3's, and an average amount of rebounds. Not getting defensive stats and being below average in assists and FT% make him an awkward efficient fantasy player right now. At least he's getting more blocks lately, that should bump him up.

Ersans balling too hard for his history and will come back down to earth. He also only started picking up steam once Dedmon went down and Dedmons coming back in a week or two. I'd rather have Richardson over Tatum so it's essentially Ersan for Conley which, c'mon.

The first one was some 3 for 2 I don't remember but the second was Klay and Dwight for Jamal Murray and Kemba. I was taking on a lot of bad shooting to try to boost my steals but I guess everyone hates Dwight?

Richardsons legit though. Even when Miami was healthy he was clearly outplaying Waiters. Conley's the gamble, I think he'll come back and be worth way more than Ersan in the end. I think you clearly won the trade which is a good thing for you, I'm just jealous that I've been doing nothing but bad trades all year.

Also my team got ridiculously injured all of a sudden. I've had to cut Waiters and Teodosic, I traded Teague literally the day before his big injury, Jon Simmons just had a back flare up, and Harden tore his hamstring too which will take forever to come back from. I suspect Zingis will get some time off soon too.

Well Ilyasova was cut so it's essentially Tatum for Richardson and I dunno, rookies usually don't hold up production all season and Richardson is putting up super valuable statlines with all his steals, blocks, and threes. He kicks in a healthy amount of rebounds and assists for a guard too. It's a shame he doesn't shoot efficiently all the time and isn't that great at the FT line or getting FTs for that matter, plus his points are just meh.

Also how is Mike's Majestic Team doing sobadly in the standings? Looking at it today it looks like a really solid roster

He's got some draggers with Stanley Johnson, Andrew Harrison, Chriss, Hood, Josh Jackson, and D'Angelo Russell. His other guys are scoring specialists that don't put up a lot of defensive stats. Russell Westbrook puts up gaudy, empty lines a lot. He'll get you some steals but no blocks, just occassional 3's, ok to bad shooting percentages sometimes, and a poo poo ton of turnovers. Same with with Blake.

I just 5-4'd Deimos the other week even though I crushed him in every statistical category. His team just had a way better FG/FT% and turnover rate, plus he snuck in some extra 3's to beat me 55-52 even though I beat him on points 700-535. If you only pay attention to pts, rebounds, and assists chances are your teams not going to do that great.
