Ryan Gosling was in London on Thursday night on The Graham Norton Show. He was wearing the same outfit when he came out of the monologue on Saturday night. I wonder if Lorne is upset with all the goofs from the show.

That explains why the Thursday morning promos weren't up until Friday night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wEh5P6T2_Y I imagine Lorne isn't happy. Breaking once or twice, that's cool. Breaking all night and the goodnights incident is unprofessional.

The former head writers, Sarah Schneider and Chris Kelly, left: http://www.vulture.com/2017/10/co-head-writers-sarah-schneider-and-chris-kelly-leave-snl.html Does anyone know what they were best known for writing? I'm always fascinated by the mystery of who actually writes what on SNL.

From Deadlinequote:Kelly and Schneider served as writers on NBC’s late-night show since 2011. Among other things, they worked with Kate McKinnon on her Hillary Clinton sketches and were behind the “Bern Your Enthusiasm” skit, featuring Larry David as Bernie Sanders, and the Emmy-nominated “(Do It On My) Twin Bed”. In addition to his SNL gig, Kelly was as a writer on Comedy Central’s Broad City. He also wrote and directed the feature Other People, which earned him 2017 Indie Spirit Award nominations for best first feature and best screenplay and earned a Spirit trophy for star Molly Shannon.

pwn posted:From Deadline Cool, thank you! I have always wished each sketch could have a little unobtrusive caption with the writers' names in the bottom corner, like music videos used to have to identify the band, song, and album. I'm sure a lot of this stuff is written by committee, but it would still be interesting.

I'm sure McKinnon asked for the alien abduction skit solely for an opportunity to grope Ryan Gosling's rear end.

They probably did it again because him breaking the first time led to a fuckload of views online.

Yeah I really doubt that Lorne cares about Gosling breaking, it probably attracted more positive attention then anything. Also I feel like the ending got hosed up somehow with the tribute to Hef.

Anytime Gosling breaks, you can pretty much guarantee that's going to double views online. Same goes for anyone really. It makes the sketch seem funnier than it is to people. Also, Kate breaks at least one person every time they do that and rightfully so.

Yeah if Lorne hated breaking half as much as the urban legends says he does he would not have given Fallon carte blanche for as many years as he did and then give him the Tonight Show.
