They only do 21 episodes per season, so it's pretty common to run a few episodes, take a week or two off, do a few, take a break, etc.

And the season is front-loaded, with 9 or even 10 of those 21 in the first three months. Usually there aren’t two weeks off in October, but that’s the way the schedule worked out this year. There will still be 9 shows before Christmas break.

Also: nice

Tonight’s Vintage is Jim Carrey with Iggy Azalea from October 25 2014, that season’s Halloween show, and SNL Presents Halloween, a 62-minute special, airs at 12/11c, immediately following The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special. Happy Halloween :spooky:

So is this pretty much a straightforward kids Halloween special?

You tried to destroy it once before, Commodore.
The result was a wrecked ship and a dead crew.
Fun Shoe
It’s almost funny without actually being funny or containing any jokes.

That said, I really liked the original David Pumpkins sketch. And Peter Dinklage is always fun.

Yeah, Mikey Day was on Seth Thursday night and said it was aimed at kids, since kids liked the sketch a lot

God I've missed Stefon.

I don't know if I posted it before but I picked this up at a comic con at one point and I still love it.

Edit: yes they know to end on the best!

That is AWESOME. I wish Stefon got half the mainstream crossover viral love that David Pumpkins inexplicably got. I'd kill for a Stefon movie with Bill Hader, John Mulaney, and Seth Meyers. Sometimes I crack up just thinking about some of the crazy stuff Hader would list, like Jewish vampire Sidney Applebaum.

I haven't seen the cartoon and am not interested in it, but I love the people who really, really hate David S. Pumpkins.

The music is always bad, except for when they have artists like Katy Perry and Sia so there's hilarious surreal poo poo going on to look at like Sia's clone shenanigans or Katy's backpack kid.

Basically I will never be happy unless they have GWAR on. I know that will never happen.
