I'm playing through this now and love it to death so far. The art is awesome, the animation is beautiful and the mechanics are really fun and fair. Also the first boss is a Fleischer Bros version of a DQ slime which is really neat

I've heard it's punishingly hard but if the levels are actually fleshed out and it's not just a boss rush game for $20 I'll probably give it a shot.

I feel like this is one of the few games that should have a lower framerate. Seeing the animation and the bullets flying at different rates bothers me for an inordinary reason.

I thought it was interesting how initially it was gonna be a boss rush game with a megaman styled boss select screen then it got more fleshed out after the e3 debut response being so positive. I'm lovin this game

fleischer style early american animation is pretty cool. everything being misshapen gross gelatinous bodies with huge eyes. good poo poo

The levels and bosses are completely separate from each other which is really nice. In fact you can avoid every single run and gun stage if you really want to. Not that they're bad, some of them are actually really interesting. I love this game

im glad this game turned out to be really great! wouldve been a huge shame if they put in so much sweat and tears into the animation and it was boring Contra (kinda looked like this really early on). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmGb-jU3uVQ heres a very nervous guy explaining the animation process, its awesome how loyal they were to old timey cartoons
