The further i get into this the more im appreciating the wide variety of mission designs. there were a few early on that were pretty similarly structured; finding shibito, tiptoing around them to pick up a key and then leave, but post-stage select theres like shooting gallery levels, pure chase sequences, more puzzle focused ones, and the secondary missions get really goofy. I am starting to really appreciate the recycling of maps, it feels like Hitman where you learn the geometry of a place front and back but every time you play a new mission the shibito placement forces you to tackle the same space in a different way. anyway i still cant beat the School Mission 2 in one go so gently caress this game

You go from killing horrifying demon hounds with a six shooter, to wielding a magic blood draining celtic sickle in your right hand while firing cackling rocket launcher skulls from your left. One of your magic spells is doom levels of running speed. The notes you pick up and read are good because they're written by loving Clive Barker. The protagonist is extremely good because he's Clive Barker's Irish gay fantasy boy. The devs had this idea about a tattooed muscular alpha man, but Clive told them to have an Irish guy he'd want to gently caress instead. And he was right.
