I think Logarius is one of those bosses you either easily clown on or have him stonewall you, and this is nothing to do with build and everything to do with what his A.I decides to do and whether you are able to work around it effectively. I’ve lost easy wins to him spamming explosions, backing into a wall and then doing the power up animation in a way I can’t backstab him out of for example.

Logarius only blocks off NPC questlines and vampire queen waifus.

My problem with Logarius has always been the camera during phase two, locked on or no lock on he just zooms around like he’s playing Quidditch and I lose him.

I have never once prevented Logarius from powering up. By the time I see he's doing it I can never run behind him and charge up an attack before he's done.

I've never died to Logarius so I don't really get what makes him such a roadblock to people. If you keep in his poo poo, destroy his sword summon ASAP and parry his more telegraphed charging attacks he goes down pretty easily.

I didn't play Bloodborne until I'd cleared DS3 three times, with that in mind I found the base game fairly easy outside of the Chalice fights. The hunter's moveset is just so powerful between gun parries, quickstep and rally if you've honed your fundamentals already it nearly feels busted.

I think most of the vanilla BB bosses are pretty easy, the hardest being Ebrietas, Logarius, and Gerhman. But the DLC bosses... woo they've got some challenges in there.

(of course I am speaking of the formidable Living Failures)

The first time I fought Gherman I was coming off the DLC and and absolutely trashed him on my first attempt. He’s a cool fight but once you’ve got the mechanics down the only single humanoid who can really touch you is BCoC

I haven’t had a problem with Logarius since my like.. idk, 3rd playthrough, if I’m doing a STR/quality build, but yeah otherwise he’s hard.

I’m trying a bloodtinge build for the first time, idk how I’ve never done one, and I rushed and got Simon’s Bow Blade, but I think I’d rather use a melee weapon as a main weapon, and keep the bow as the secondary weapon. What’s the quickest one to get? I think ironically the Chikage is locked behind Logarius so I haven’t got it yet, but I just remembered that it’s in one of those hacked save chalices. There’s only like, what, 4 or so BLT weapons? Besides guns I mean, so it’s gonna be easy to choose. Also gonna get the Bloodletter as I’ve never used it.

bowblade is best as a skill/btinge weapon....its transform attacks are insanely good and u can clear a room in seconds if u prioritize mobs right

Yeah just get a Chikage and a Bloodletter and those are really the only melee weapons you need, and then you can fool around with all the guns, but honestly I don’t ever swap off Evelyn. I also think that exactly enough Arcane to use Hunter’s Bone is correct, because that move rules and also all the other Palebloods from the castle have that move.

Logarius had me stuck for forever on my first playthrough, and I only won by cheesing him so that he doesn't actually activate his second phase with a charged backstab. The homing skulls got me more times than I can count

Yeah, he's not a particularly good, fun, or satisfying boss. Skipping Kalameet is a crime, but Logarius? Pfft. He's basically a puzzle boss - the most interesting thing about the fight is figuring out what to do. I've never felt compelled to go back and fight him again unless it's been relevant to whatever playthrough I'm doing. Gimme my chunks and I'll be back...later, mate. You just wait there.

Up to Mergo’s wetnurse and now going through the DLC. Finally downed Ludwig after at least 30 tries. The trophy list says only about 13% of people have beaten him. He hits like a truck and if you get stuck in his Accursed three hit combo you’ll probably die. I had to summon Valtr to do it. (Henrietta isn’t as good. Valtr seems to have more health and does way more damage).

Edit: Ludwig almost feels like he could be Sekiro boss with how aggressive he is.

Yep, fight rules but the first few times you go in he just steamrolls you like Katamari Damacy set in a butcher's shop. But he's a GREAT fight, and the next two you have coming are also incredible. Good luck!!

I only played Bloodborne really recently and man I adored it from a lore and world building perspective more than any other From game

But the boss fights were just trash for the most part. You’ve got some hard fights at the very beginning when you’re figuring out how to Hunter but by time you reach Vicar Amelia it’s easy street until the DLC and Chalices. The difficulty curve of Bloodborne is a wet noodle flopping downwards. Sekiro has a much more even keel experience.

Yes, DS3 also has a really bad curve but in a completely different way (very spikey and uneven). I hated that game for a lot of reasons.
