Hopefully we get a “Middle-Aged Biff waxing someone’s car” scene.

I will settle for him dropping a “There’s something very familiar about all of this.” line.

I love that Constantine is still pretending like he's in his old serious show and explicitly pointing out that every friend he has just ends up with misfortune, when we just know that by the end of the season he's totally going to be, I dunno, going to Japan to be in a Sentai Squad in the 80s or something.

This show is amazing. I honestly didn’t think they could lean into the dumb any more than they did with last season’s finale, but here we are.

Highlight of the episode: hippie looking incredulously down at his unicorn t-shirt.

Ah okay. Its been a while, but that scene suggested that they had banned Muslims specifically, I mean its not like the actual President isn't trying to do that.

And Man, I recognized him from Babylon 5 as one of the rebel Captains, not as Biff. I guess becuase he isn't using his Biff voice.

A few episodes ago she wasn't a fugitive just because she was a Muslim, but now maybe she has always been a fugitive just because she was a Muslim. Woodstock had always been a relatively peaceful hippie music event, then suddenly it had always been a famous massacre, and now it's once again always been a music event and definitely not a massacre. (well... not a big massacre, though at least two human hearts did get eaten) English doesn't have enough tenses to keep up with time travel.

Yeesh, so the season premier was the lowest rated and least watched show of the night.

Also they really need to bring in some more people because the crew seemed pretty light.

Well last year they lost Stein, Jax, Rip and Wally, and Amaya’s benched for the moment. So yeah they’re on the light side of folks for the moment. Once Amaya, John and Ava get on the Waverider full time it’ll feel a lot busier.

Sucks about the ratings though. What’s wrong with people?

They're pulling a Wells this year and it's gonna be a different Amaya. The exact details are still up in the air, but Amaya-1's storyline is done and stitched up: she goes back to Zambesi, her daughter becomes the next Vixen, then Kuasa and Mari tag-team being Vixen 3 in the modern era and Amaya dies a happy, very not murdered by warlords, old woman.

Huh, I realized something was missing but I didn't realize it was so many characters that are gone. Wally is officially not coming back? That poor dude. He's not a terrible actor and the character can be fun to watch, but he just keeps getting bounced off of DC shows and no one has any idea what to do with him. I thought he'd be great as a full-time Legend. It wouldn't even be that hard to work around his powers given all the magic-users they fight with. They could give him a spacetime smartphone and have him always be distracted by it.

That's not so bad then, if it was his own choice. I was just picturing the poor guy getting rejected over and over because of bad writing.

So I googled it because I was curious:

I’ve changed a lot in the past year (as you’ve probably noticed lol), and for infinite reasons my perspective on life & what I want from it now is just completely different. Because of that, my heart told me it was the right time to continue my journey on an unknown path, and I’m so drat grateful to both shows for honouring & respecting that with me.

That means that he's either had a bit of growing up and decided he'd be happiest not being a full-time actor, or that he needed to come up with a generic reason to explain why they were firing him that wouldn't reflect badly on the producers so he wouldn't burn any bridges.

Keiynon definitely did not get fired, he had a nice sendoff on the Flash's season opener and he's been told he's welcome back at any time. He just came out and had a relatively high profile role in a pretty acclaimed movie, both of which led to him getting very involved in the LGBTQ community.
