I enjoy the Gribbits Detective Agency a lot as a platform for bits, but I think the rotating format does kind of result in the gang never really getting much done. I guess that’s dragon friends though babyyyy.

Yeah, even moreso than beef babes or the main podcast, I could not describe the metaplot of this series, or really even any singular plot of any of the individual streams so far if you put a gun to my head. I don't mind by any means, the humor and chaos is what I tune in for in the first place, so the more of it the better, but if Dave was hoping to craft some kind of story out of this campaign I do feel a bit bad for him lol

I think part of it is that now that Ben is regularly participating in the streams again, we're remembering how easily-distractable he is and how infectious that energy is, especially if Hing's there too. Again--i love this energy, it's part of what makes the show so entertaining to me, so I'm pumped that he's back and I consider his presence a pro, but it does make it very hard to tell a story when one of your players is constantly getting distracted and losing his bones. I think a lot of the Ben Energy gets edited out of the main feed podcasts (and he probably reigns it in a bit for live shows where people paid for tickets and traveled to a venue), so seeing him unfiltered is an absolute treat

As far as I understand it the point of GDA is to not have a metaplot particularly, or at least not a foreground one, since it's meant to be something you can drop in and out of watching easily without feeling like you have to start at the beginning or catch up on 10 weeks you missed in the middle.

Yeah, Dave swings it so that you get mini-arcs when a similar crew is present a couple times in a row, but it'll be interesting to see where it's all going by the end of the year.
Still fun to watch as just a bunch of standalone things though.

Another GDA is up: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1011790228?filter=all&sort=time

Last week there was no stream because they had a werewolf show/stream, but I'm uncertain when and where that's going up. Might be a patron thing later,.

Not sure if werewolf is going to be released, they haven't said it was going up anywhere and hing mentioned on discord at one point that he didn't think it was. They didn't record or release the last one.

I feel like over the course of Dragon Friends and Related Campaigns, our heroes (?) have infiltrated, crashed, interrupted or patronized a suspicious number of suck'n'gently caress parties...

There wasn't a GDA this week, but they did another Star Wars session, and it seems like they'll be doing another of those 'recorded, then streamed later' deals.

2PM PT is... a little under 5 hours from this post, I think?

Yeah, it'll be 5pm eastern USA time like the last "live" recorded stream they did. I hope they keep doing that going forward, it's nice being able to tune in for the live streams

Catching up on the most recent chaotic GDA, and this is amazing. It’s like half an hour of bullying and recapping classic bullying.

Also hug the sun rules. I can confirm it’s VERY Perth.

Simon + Jordan, Dave, Carlo. (Edan, maybe later? He was apparently supposed to DM, then ran late.)
I'm kind of curious how it'll be when Jordan takes the helm, since I think she's probably the one with the most experience in D&D aside from Dave + Edan.

A lot of the hyper local Melbourne/comedy scene references sailed over my head but you know what? If the Melbourne comedy festival isn’t the place for that kind of thing, then where is, and if I expected different then frankly shame on me, because the audience seemed to love it

Is there any context as to why this is being read? Because holy poo poo if it's being taken at face value instead of them knowing he's a comedian.
