I imagine Caitlin's change is related to why she was working as a bartender and the person the guy with the creepy eye was talking about.

I ditched on last season around... ugh I don't even remember. This season seems a lot better so far. Here's hoping Barry keeps this 'edge of madness' thing up, it's way better than generically moody.

Barry was experiencing his whole timeline at once, right? We all read that the same way?

When the Samuroid said 'Welcome back Flash', I figured that was this season's Wells making his entrance, but I guess not. Is season two Wells still safely on Earth 2?

Yeah. S2 Wells is on Earth 2.

As far as Barry experiencing his entire timeline, that's probably the best guess at this point.

All of her plot lines on the show revolved around J'onn (she nearly turns him into a White Martian, she needs J'onn's help to get out of a psychic whammy, she needs J'onn and crew help to evade her White Martian "husband") so probably not?

As best I can recall. The show's only touched on race once, in the James-centric episode right before the Daxamite invasion last year

And this upcoming episode is her helping J'onn find another of the last Green Martians. Touching on minority issues with her character is a bit odd given that she's part of the majority "race" while J'onn is in the minority so anytime those sorts of issues come up J'onn is always relevant to the discussion and it'd be strange is he wasn't.

That's pretty bad. I thought about how bad it was for Felicity and I realized that she has at least one more female friend than Iris, even though one is now in a coma, one is busy being the director of a clandestine organization, and one is a coworker she doesn't really interact with either. She does have that hacker friend/fangirl at least, but she's going into hiding iirc.

In fairness the guys of Team Flash don't really have lives either. I mean, Cisco's got a family he never talks to and who hates him, a dead brother, and a girlfriend from another universe who visits him at work. Barry has some friends over on Team Arrow or other Earths. Joe did start a relationship at his other job, so that's probably an improvement.

Joe probably has loads of friends/acquaintances at the CCPD, but they'd never be allowed to know about his interactions with the Flash and there's no point in having isolated scenes with Joe unless it's relevant to the plot (or he's crooning)

At minimum, he needs Barry's access to the Speed Force. Beyond that, who knows? If he's as benign as he thinks he is, it may be a matter of him assembling those metas and convincing/coercing them to play their part. Weeper and the luck person seem obvious writhe the former's years used to synthesize a drug and the other basically make sure things go perfectly.

Go back even further. Ollie only had a shipwreck because of Merlyn's machinations. It's probably the case that it never happened at all(or it did and Superman saved him) and Ollie's still a rich and useless idiot. If there's no Reverse Flash on Kara's Earth, then Barry's parents never died and he never became a CSI and STAR Labs hasn't happened yet (I think it still has nine years before their Wells gets it off the ground since Thawne didn't interfere?). My biggest complaint about this season is it would be so much better if the Rogues were a part of it. Their recurring story arc in season 1 was a highlight but unfortunately because of other shows (and stupid Star Wars  ) cannibalizing the best of the roster and weird previous season writing mucking up others (Piper and Boomerang being effectively written off, some other 2nd tier rogues being killed off in the great villain purging in season 2) you're left with weak versions of The Top, Mirror Master and Weather Wizard. Maybe they'll have a Grodd and/or Kadabra episode in the back half.

If you haven't been watching Legends, you should know that Grodd's appeared there and will probably be part of the villain lineup for that series this season. Kadabra might show up though.

Shame about a lame vilain because the other stuff this season has been good.

In an actual fight, sure, but I think the assumption is that DeVoe can largely predict if, when, and how the Flash team reacts to things so if he expected violence, he'd have prepared for it in advanced. It's just not really shown and the episode already has a case of Barry, presumably, one-upping DeVoe by escaping

I want to see Brainstorm somehow evolve into Brainiac by the end of the season. Then Brainiac takes over Grodd's body so we have some weird Thinker/Brainstorm/ Brainiac/Grodd super villain.

I think the idea that DeVoe wants to take over Flash's body is wrong. DeVoe needs his connection to the speed force. Barry's just the meat puppet that's attached. Separating Barry from that and putting it in the hands of DeVoe is part of his end game I assume.

someone elsewhere on the forums did a write-up on it, I think it was darkpriest or in a thread he made, but most of the big aggregate porn sites are owned by one company (MindGeek) that mostly uses them for the insane amount of information on personal interests and trends. so they keep track, and the last graph Brazzers released showed faux-incest searches have doubled and in some cases quadrupled from '15 to '16. it's hands-down probably the most searched fetish or link or whatever in the US right now

It's definitely a trend right now and it's fairly inexplicable at the moment and without more historical data, it's unclear whether it's truly a trend or if there was always an undercurrent of incestuous desire lurking in US porn tastes. Idk if they tried to separate out the types of incest and hone in on trends or what searches tend to correlate with each other.

I'd get why they would change it if they don't plan on using any of Metropolis' classic baggage, but it would still kind of suck.

Since it's being filmed in Georgia, I guess it'll be not-Atlanta or not-Savanna or something.

It's a very special dig and nod to the founding of Black Lightning as DC's first Black superhero title may have been something quite different.

"Tony Isabella posted:

I will say that I created Black Lightning after convincing DC not to publish another "black" super-hero on which they had started work. The Black Bomber was a white bigot who, in times of stress, turned into a black super-hero. This was the result of chemical camouflage experiments he'd taken part in as a soldier in Vietnam. The object of these experiments was to allow our [white] troops to blend into the jungle.

In each of the two completed Black Bomber scripts, the white bigot risks his own life to save another person whom he can't see clearly (in one case, a baby in a stroller) and then reacts in racial slur disgust when he discovers that he risked his life to save a black person. He wasn't aware that he had two identities, but each identity had a girlfriend and the ladies were aware of the change. To add final insult, the Bomber's costume was little more than a glorified basketball uniform.

DC had wanted me to take over writing the book with the third issue. I convinced them to eat the two scripts and let me start over. To paraphrase my arguments...

"Do you REALLY want DC's first black super-hero to be a white bigot?"

Okay, he wasn't precisely their first black super-hero, but I made my point. The Black Bomber stories were deep-sixed and I went to work on my own creation.

As a note, this is from his online column dated June, 20 2000, but the linked archive only goes back to 2001 so idk if this is 100% true, but Isabella himself hasn't corrected this (he's still active online).
