Halfway through and really like the show but agree the pilot is very not good. Also the girlfriend character and storyline with her and Groff currently feels a little cliched.

Just had the interview at the beginning of ep 9 and Speck throwing the bird into the fan was amazing, but I missed why he had a bird in the first place?
