I thought it was really good but it does better in the serious drama/respecting the characters stakes than the funny hijinks ones. Rebecca's whole suicide attempt and subsequent diagnosis are, I think, really well handled and a good acknowledgement of, "hey, this isn't just a wacky funny lady, she has serious problems and needs significant medical attention to be safe for either herself or the people around her".

Basically those were cheques the show was writing since the premiere, even right there in the title, and it finally cashed them in a very thorough and well-researched way. I appreciate that.

Too short for my tastes, really needed to be longer.

I don't think anything's really topped Generalize About Men, but runners up are The Moment Is Me and The First Penis I Saw.

There are a few that were really good in context: Fit Hot Guys Have Problems Too; Nothing Is Ever Anyone's Fault; Life Doesn't Make Narrative Sense (The End of the Movie); The Moment Is Me, but the stand out of the season and the one that I think works regardless of whether you've seen the show or not is definitely I Go to the Zoo.

He's not a great singer, he knocks it out of the park for the 30 seconds a season he gets to dance. That's the only reason I've Got my Head in the Clouds is worth rewatching.

I think his singing in that is good. I love that while Vincent Rodriguez III is an okay singer, Josh Chan REALLY ISN'T

I love when Josh gets songs just because they really play up him being kind of dumb and not really a musical theatre person. "Duh" is one of the funnier songs in S2 for me for that reason.

I love the premise and storytelling of Fit Hot Guys but the actual song is like this painfully generic club beat with the lyrics awkwardly wedged in. It's meant to be a take on dance music, but it's kind of a dud as a dance track.

I went to the live show in Portland tonight. Most of the main cast was there aside from Donna Lynne Champlin and Vella Lovell (Paula and Heather).

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a lot of fun and two hours flew by. I don't think I've ever seen a show with such an enthusiastic crowd, either.

Huh.
Weirdly enough, I don't really feel excitement about that. It's nice for them and I hope they'll stick the landing, but I'm not counting days.

What's the usual procedure for shows, where the cast doesn't know if it continues? Do they keep producing until the studio just scraps everything, or do they have to wait for funding?

While Season 3 had an absolutely amazing peak, I feel like it was overall kind of disappointing. I loved the stuff about Rebecca's personal journey, but the West Covina antics stuff felt weaker than ever. Also I have no idea why they decided it would be a good stuff to skip eight months of personal journey for all the side characters, that straight up killed what interest I had in their stories.

Not to mention that Beth feels like a complete non-character who exists solely to be a love interest and while Valencia certainly deserves one, Beth is so very boring and they have absolutely zero chemistry.
