Another thing I've noticed. Because the menu queries the pasteboard when you open it, it beats you over the head with a permissions dialog even if you don't choose a paste option. This is so it doesn't show "paste" options if there's nothing to paste, but I think it'd be better to show the options and just tell the user if there isn't anything to paste. That way we only get one permissions popup.

You can check if the pasteboard is empty without triggering an alert, and I think you can find out a bit about the shape of the pasteboard data without triggering an alert (e.g. “is it a url?”), but you can’t go any further. So the “is it seemingly an image url?” check should go away. I dunno if “is it image data?” triggers an alert. Maybe you can get the UTI.

Yeah in the beta I can’t post if my Imgur session is expired. I get the permission denied modal, that I have to log in to Imgur, after ”preview” when I press ”post”, but it doesn’t let me log in. I get thrown back to the edit view. And if I want to log in, I have to cancel out of the edit, where my post is already finished. The workaround is to copy the text I wrote and cancel out. For now, I’ll turn Imgur back off.

I just tried uploading a gif and it converted it to a png so that will need an exception or something. Are we able to remove Autofill from that context menu? I don’t think it’s ever used, it’s taking up space and it’s adding extra taps to avoid it.

Not to derail the Imgur updates (again, thanks a ton!): is there any way on the app to remove someone from the ignore list? I’ve never ignored a user since 1999, and accidentally popped a person with an mis-click in the App. And I actually like the poster, if I’m honest about it…

Turning off the various embed settings (images, tweets, blueskies) should help too. Making the spinner into a button (maybe after a couple seconds' timeout) to say "just show me whatever you got as soon as you got it" seems righteous. Fundamentally it's a tradeoff between waiting to learn how tall everything is on the page versus having the page jump around as embeds and images load. Could be there's no good answer for everyone and a setting makes sense. I'd rather wait for the page to stop jumping before it appears, but the other side seems fair.

I’ve found if I click back a page and then go forward again it’ll load minus whatever image was holding things up. Hopefully with the Imgur integration working fewer people will use the postimg or imgbb links that seemed to be the worst offenders.
