One thing that always gets me when I come into this app is the “swipe from the left edge to go back” thing in this app is very unforgiving when compared with pretty much anything else out there. The point where you have to swipe from is almost pixel perfect, as opposed to other apps where sometimes it can be done from anywhere on the screen. I used to do that on accident constantly and now barely ever do it, I wonder if it was downsized?

These are fantastic but the blue on the Trans Awful icon is a bit too deep a blue (looks like #4E7AFC on top through #3433ED with the shadow at the bottom); I think something closer to the #5BCEFA or #5BCFFB values from commie kong's links would make it read better as the trans flag 🏳️⚧️  🏳️⚧️(The stripes being vertical is perfectly fine too, btw!)

The tech team and a group of goon volunteers worked their asses off to get a full download of every image on the forums (including archives) downloaded and rehosted on somethingawful’s servers. Astral is in the process of writing code that will replace all the old links with the now locally hosted images. New images posted after the initial searches will still try to be grabbed at some point in the future, but I don’t know when. Astral has been working on attachments 2.0 which will function as the forum’s permanent image host when done. This will surely be integrated into the app. The tldr is that imgur is not reliable for long term image storage anymore, and we do not want another waffleimages where half the goldmine is filled with empty threads. It sucks in the interim, but it makes sense why it happened.
