Ok this may or may not be the issue, but I have found that once I click on a profile to see posts, rap-sheet, etc... I can no longer un-spoiler things. Even swiping the app away (to “unload” it) doesn’t seem to work. Two things I’ve seen for sure fix it. An app update everything was back to normal and a hard reboot did so as well.

I imagine there's an API that's used when uploading that auto-converts as well (In fact I'm sure of it, since my script in Shortcuts has a convert function) Also, you can override the default in settings and have it bypass using HEIC completely and store things as JPEGs.

Yeah, since I moved back to the default theme everything has been working for me as well. I’m convinced the alt-theme was the culprit (although I *really* liked the alt-theme).

In the last day or so I noticed that swiping left with the Pencil on my iPad Pro won't slide the side panel out (bookmarks, settings, etc...). Works fine with my finger or a non-Pencil stylus.

For some reason I can’t swipe from left to right to pull the left side menu on screen with I use either the Pencil 2 (12.9 2018 iPad Pro) or the Pencil 1 (iPad Mini 5). It works fine when I swipe with my finger or a passive stylus. Otherwise the Pencil works fine generally navigating the app and following links. This has only started since I upgraded to iPadOS 13. Which may be coincidence since I think there were a bunch of Awful updates as well at the same timeframe. Anyone else seeing this behavior? Is there some setting I’m overlooking?

On the iPad I just swipe left-to-right from the left part of the screen to pull up the sidebar. It works with everything *except* the Pencil and none of them start "offscreen". Fake Edit: I just tested on the iPad Pro to make sure I wasn't unconsciously starting from the bezel. I wasn't. (I know with the iPhone I have to do it that way, but I've never had to on the iPad)

I have an XS Max and when I do use the app it’s usually in portrait mode to begin with. I’ve just tilted/rotated into landscape and back in both directions. No crashes here.

I have had times where the Awful Browser lives up to its name and just stopped working and I’ve had to redirect links to Safari (although that seems to have been fixed), but I can’t remember the last time the main part of the app crashed.

Are we talking about being able to browse non-bookmarked threads? I can browse through them no problem. No having to do all this "parent" stuff. I have an XS Max, iOS 13.5.1, Awful 4.3 to add a data point.   Apologies if I'm misunderstanding and Kramer'd in on a different issue.
