it's pretty sad that with this latest iteration of iphones they've abandoned the strategy of taking a phone design and ironing out the flaws for the s-series of the same model

from now on, it's just flawed design after flawed design with no refinement at all, dongles akimbo

my wife (waifu) has been using a 6S+ for some time now (many years) and it is bad and the camera is apparently unusable and she wants to get the pixel 2 to replace it.

she actually, out loud irl, asked me if it was okay that her chat messages would be green instead of blue, and if i would love her less.

i said it definitely would make me love her less, but she's her own woman and can use inferior hardware if she must.

topping a luxury watch brand by n+1 units sold isn't a particularly huge accomplishment when they don't sell a whole lot of watches these days thanks to china cracking down on bribery

the real story for the iwatch is that someone discovered a use case for it and that use case is cheating in baseball

tim finally learned that people were savvy and didn't buy the first iteration of their hardware so now every new product will be redesigned every release so no more weeding out bad designs in the next release, it's just new problems all the time every time

the engineer will likely get an extra bonus for his innovative methods of spreading mindshare about the iphone x

steve understood that engineers/computer touchers don't deserve any dignity or reward for their efforts and treated them accordingly

the added hype is going to backfire anyway since apple is struggling to make the iphonx and is likely going to have some serious quality issues with the ones they do manage to churn out

if this was pre-announcement then yes, fired. in general the rule is to let apple marketing do the marketing. people that have early devices know they’re not allowed to show them to anyone, and certainly not post them on YouTube.

gosh it's almost as if tim doesn't care about pre-announcing or leaking or any of that because he's grossly incompetent

either that or he's fully embraced fake leaks because at least those he can control

cannot wait for phones that require you to hold the phone perfectly in front of your face which will be very convenient for muggers since you're basically handing it to them

if you’re getting mugged it doesn’t really matter how you’re holding your phone

like i said, it'll be convenient for the muggers because they don't have to make you take your phone out of your pocket, they can just take it out of your hand as you wave it in front of your face trying to unlock it

apple cares about its users by enabling violence-free criminal interactions

plus if you're actually going to get mugged, waving your stupid iphonx in front of your face is a real good tipoff to a potential mugger that they can also likely get an iwatch and airbuds for their trouble as a bonus, possibly an ipad to boot

basically trying to use iface is shouting to the world that you've got a pretty startling lack of common sense to go with at least $2000 worth of gadgets to steal

yes, and now that they have ensured that users will constantly have to wave their phones in front of their faces there's a new stream of selfies to analyze and then upload for later deep data mining
