since ios 11 you can use iphone 7 and above to read any ndef compliant nfc tags. You can download a regular tag reader and try it out. I have custom nfc tags with an application specific ndef mime payload that ios reads just find

if you enable the "delete apps im not using feature" it will eventually delete itunes music and stop it from working at all, so you could try that
