Genuine question, could the random payout system underpinning crypto lead to it being regulated as gambling?

No because casinos let you cash out and have auditing.

It appears the CEO of AMC lost his pants despite the meteoric rise of the theatre company’s meme stock.

As Adam Aron lost control of his web camera during a live YouTube interview, the screen briefly flashes below his light blue shirt and red tie to reveal either a really short pair of short shorts, or a skin-coloured pair of pants, or no pants at all.

Mr Aron recovered the camera and continued his hour-long interview about the company and, among other things… naked shorts, with Trey Collins

The hot and cold wallet debate is irrelevant because it’s not like FBI is hacking Coinbase servers and taking coins directly. Instead they send a very thorough subpoena and asset seizure demand saying «the coins arriving via this address is strongly connected to ransomware, lock that poo poo down and transfer the funds to the FBI seizure account on Coinbase»

All the major players in Bitcoin keep showing themselves to be stupid, shady, or both. Why wouldn't people immediately assume Coinbase is doing the dumbest thing humanly possible at every step of the way?

No serious exchange, like all the other major exchanges who have gotten hacked and had a multi-million dollar hot wallet stolen? Including Bitfinex, the biggest exchange (by volume) on the planet?

The system they are describing is impossible to use on 100% of their transactions, because it would hit the blockchain transaction limit. An exchange cannot run all their internal trades on the blockchain. What this is describing is a smart way to have a spectrum of hot-cold storage, with the bulk of funds in wallets that are very secure against both attack and accidents. But some of those wallets are "pre-signed" on the server, as they themselves describe. Any of those are vulnerable to hacks.

If someone thoroughly hacked coinbase, and had enough time to figure out their system, I'm sure they could get away with over a million dollars in butts. But not tens or hundreds of millions. At the scale that coinbase deals in, that's pretty small! The loss from publicity that the exchange got hacked would be far far worse than the direct loss.

In Canada we have a member of parliament who has been caught twice on his own web camera, first time fully nude after changing post-workout and the other time he pissed in a coffee mug during a meeting because going to the actual bathroom would be too hard or something.

People voted for this guy.

Semantically, "you" is both singular and plural, though syntactically it is always plural. It always takes a verb form that originally marked the word as plural.

Also, there is no plural when the context is an argument with an individual rather than a group. Somfin shouldn't put words in my mouth.

I unironically dig the song, is there a source
