im sorry i dont believe in fiat currency. would you instead take an internet currency whose value fluctuates wildly and, in spite of being valued at a ridiculous level and cornered by chinese mobsters and the winklevoss twins, has many hardcore adherents among doomsday preppers and sovereign citizens? yes, i will use this to pay for my star citizen rig.

While obviously some people have made quite a bit on bitcoin, even the hardcore fans have to admit there is no obvious reason that it should continue to remain at it's current value since it has extreme volatility. I think anyone getting in now is very likely to get hosed. Just wait til the next crash

Bitcoin will not go above $3000, even if it appreciated from $1200 to $3000, it won't go much further, so there's no more money to be made. It could go to 9k or crater to 3k and the point is that I don't know and you don't know about this speculative currency that is brand new But apparently you DO know that 6k is the peak and you gotta wait for a dip and buy for reasons

Instead of looking at the "value", which is just speculation, take a good look at what bitcoin offers over its competitor, regular fiat currency. The only real advantage is more security when buying illegal goods. Then ask yourself, "Is the market for illegal goods going up?".
