I know I keep semi-calling you out but I'm just fascinated at how someone can become attached to a player like Charlie Morton when he doesn't even play for your favorite team

1) He's loving sexy
2) He was in my division for like a whole entire year I know he was injured the whole time, but still
3) He was on the Pirates, and the Pirates are a likable team except for John Jaso
edit2: 4) It's also just cool to see someone level up like he did, tbh, especially so late

I think he was rated fine. He just pitched unbelievably well in the playoffs and is probably the biggest reason the Astros won the series. Have to give him credit.

He's underrated in the sense that no one expected him to start throwing loving 98 mph

Also he retired the final 11 in game 7 of the World Series in order to win a title so that's pretty boss (granted he got some free outs as a dude who lives on his curveball and got to face Seager and Bellinger)

At least in my circle of baseball fan friends, it seemed like his success was pretty much being treated as a fluke all year, something I understood at the beginning of the season but less & less as time went on.

edit: anyway, regardless, I'm mostly just stoked that I have an actual REASON to like him, finally

Why would they bother making sure the food's good at Yankees Stadium? It's not like they have to work to draw in the crowd. Same deal at Wrigley, sans a couple of stands (in the bleachers of all places) or private clubs, it's poo poo food and poo poo beer all the way.

You want good food and beer, go to Cleveland or something like that where it's the only way they can get people to come.

That's a good point. The food is fantastic at Citizens Bank Park, and the drinks at Citi Field are top notch.

Yankee Stadium looks like it was influenced by Soviet bloc apartment architecture. I had a bad experience sitting in the bleachers, so whatever you do don't get bleacher seats. I guess the rest of the stadium is fine though, the food was nothing special from what I remember.

I like the Mets and the Marlins. I go down to Citizens Bank Park for Phillies-Marlins games, so that I can comfortably root for the Marlins with my old college friends (I went to Temple). CBP owns, and the seats & food & beer are sooooooo much cheaper than everything at Citi Field.
