I would argue that it’s totally appropriate for this thread when you realize that, statistically, the likelihood of one guy banging 20,000 other guys and every one of those other guys was A) over 18 B) sober enough to give enthusiastic consent is so beyond astronomical that in order to feel good about that number you’d have to believe Joel Schumacher to be the nicest, wokest man alive with a desk drawer filled to bursting with consent forms.

The Bill Gates angle is the most baffling part of the Epstein/MIT story. Why would he give away $2 million of his own money to MIT but let Epstein get the credit? Are the guys at MIT really such Linux fanatics that they would prefer Epstein's money to Gates's? Maybe Epstein blackmailed Gates into it; no rich and famous person should be above suspicion of raping kids at this point. But Virginia Roberts et al. never mentioned Gates. Maybe they just didn't recognize him? The other explanation I’ve seen suggested is that Gates was indirectly paying Epstein for some sort of financial services.
