Ah yeah, the Ann stuff. I dunno, he was playing a creep and then developed into not one. There was a clear progression of the character where he gives his all and loses everything and picks himself out of that fairly well.

My buddies saw it happen to him. The biggest tell was his sudden and extreme beliefs in god. He got picked up by one of those near college church groups that apparently are fairly hardcore core. The saddest and freakiest thing I’ve ever seen was my friend talking to me in his moms apartment talking about how god doesn’t like a thing and why and then saying flatly “God is telling me right now that you’re not enjoying this conversation.” It wasn’t hard to read me or anything but it’s when I knew my friend wasn’t going to ever be the same. This was before I knew he was schizophrenic.

This isn’t a defense, but the term rape has been brought to light a lot more than it was back then. A lot of people really did think of rape as the throwing and hurting kind. Where’s the other kind was just icky, but hey they made the choice so it’s not rape! They forget that despite any kind of maturity a young person might have, they’re still young and don’t know any better. Now the light has been cast and shows a bit more detail on what rape really is, and it’s not just “this thing and this thing only.” It’s a good thing it’s been changed, but I won’t hold it against someone for being ignorant about it years ago. If he says it now and he still agrees with it, then gently caress em.

Shane Black’s The Predator script would annoy the gently caress outta those people who who always judge scripts solely based on the rules. Like camera angles, talking to the audience ect. It’s really funny at times too. I like when Shane talks to me in the scripts.
