It is cold and cynical but I think Nattie's title reign came from WWE finally settling with Tyson Kidd over his injury. Likewise Tyson's producer role.

sportsgenius86 posted:I mean, if you’re gonna reach that hard, he also said they might be back tonight, so... So he has no authoritative sources then? The Meltzer of 5, 10, 20 years ago would know. At a time when the gap between wrestler and fan has never been closer journalists have never been more adrift. And the journalists are the ones are being outworked too. It is scary to me. I shouldn't be the one telling people the Hardys weren't resigned by ROH or that Aries was actually fired. Laying off Meltzer Wade Keller thought the Orton/Owens Twitter exchange was a possible sign of locker room heat when in actuality both are super tight.

If I was closer to Emma I'd be really mad at the hate Meltzer directed her way with the poorly worded/researched information he reported last week. Also, there needs to be a FIRST in terms of a regularly booked, high priced female indie star. Emma is more than a fit for that role. She has the natural sympathy what works with smart fans of being underutilised in WWE AND actually, she can work. Was shocked and appalled how quickly her "fans" abandoned her based on one garbled report. Meltzer's walk back in the Observer this week: quote:Just a clarification on Tenille Dashwood’s booking price, the $2,000 per show figure was for shows outside North America, for Europe, Japan and other markets. For North America the rate being quoted is $1,500 per show, plus round-trip airfare, hotel and ground transportation (on the indies promoters are expected to provide hotels and ground transportation, an expense that talent in WWE has to pay for on their own). That isn’t unusual for talent asking for bigger money booking fees for overseas shows since the travel is harder and you can often miss a day of regular bookings because of it. She’s also asking for a 50/50 split between her and the promotion for autograph and picture money and asking for 100 percent of her own other merchandise money (also consistent with most guidelines). She also asks for creative control, the ability to approve her opponent and do her own finishes, which in regular indies isn’t a deal-breaker since any top guy is basically going to have the right to approve that, but for some of the companies that run full-time and do storylines, that has been them balk. They are also asking for a 50 percent deposit ahead of time, which is also consistent with what most top stars on the market do unless they are working for a promoter they have a developed a long relationship with.
