also what's up with refresh rates, all these tvs say 240hz natural or tru refresh rate or whatever but on the back it the port says its only 60hz? do I have to use display port or something?

my tv is smart but the only apps it has is like netflix and hulu, why can't I get rid of my cable box? I can watch tv on my laptop just fine on a browser

4k is nice but theres no content

what do I do if I want to get a receiver or whatever? is there gonna be input lags for games?

also, why don't hdmi transmit tv controls already so my xbox can turn up the volume or switch channels or whatever without having to use a lovely ir blaster

I use mine just a simple 58" 1080p HD tv. Not smart and I got it for 200 bucks on OfferUp. Plug in your laptop with HDMI. There, you can play all the lovely games and watch all your downloaded porn in one place.

HDTVs have become like smartphones or gaming PCs in that there's always something better right around the corner. And I will say that my Vizio M50-E1 was a good bang for the buck at $600+tax. My video games and animes look great on it.

Content that is actually filmed in 48 or 60 FPS is fine. Frame interpolation that converts 24 or 30 FPS to 60 FPS or higher is total trash and makes everything look like low budget garbage.

My friends make fun of me because I refuse to play Super Mario World with them, but I swear to god the lag is so noticeable on my Samsung.
Most modern HDTVs have "Game Mode" which removes lag by turning off all of the image enhancement processing features. Inexplicably, they usually hide it deep in the menus when it should be one of the most obvious and prominent settings.

Am I going to have to put a steel support beam in my wall or something?

my tv

my game consoles

Hey, look. Look, if- if you screw me on this, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine, you rat bastard!
Why are companies still producing 720p TVs.

I don't know much about the production of screens, but is it something where material intended for a 1080p of a larger size was defective but they could salvage what they could by making a smaller screens that would end up having lower resolution as a result?

A stockpile of old 720p screens? Just that much cheaper to produce?
