The incredibly wide range of thoughts and emotions that Pikachu could portray with just three sylables was just beautiful in the anime. To do this is an absolute disgrace. Lazy cannon destroying bullshit is what it is. I'll be sitting this film out to send a strong message about what the fans want.

So now Ash is like the guy that discovers Michigan J Frog, always trying to convince people that pikachu can talk but pikachu will just be like "chu???" when other people are around. Then when they are alone together he whispers obscene things. Threatening things. Forbidden things.

calling it dogfighting ignores that the world of pokemon is one populated by natural killing machines that can only be stopped by other killing machines. in the first episode ash tried to go without pikachu for like one minute and every bird within a hundred miles immediately started trying to murder him so yeah, people learned to tame pokemon. it kept them alive. it kept them both alive- what do you think happens when a pokemon faints in the wild without a trainer to nurse them back to health? and you have the audacity to shame them for it? how would you like to encounter an onix without a pokemon by your side? shame on YOU, gbs. shame on YOU.
