Making a new thread because I got this on Switch. Didn't play much since Afterbirth and haven't played any of Afterbirth+ so I'm having a lot of fun. Just had a run with Blank Card + the item that lets you hold 2 charges + Starter Deck + The Emperor + Chaos Card so I could warp to each floors boss and instantly kill them, but I just started and don't have any of the later floors unlocked yet so it was kinda wasted. Does anyone still play this? What challenges/completion marks should I shoot for finishing first to unlock the coolest poo poo? Been a long time since I've played and like I said I know very little of the Afterbirth(+) stuff

I think it's the perfect handheld mode game but yeah it's expensive. There is a physical version so it's possible you could find it used at a discount, I think my Gamestop had it for $30. I believe the Switch version is a little special too because it's the only version that included all the DLC from the very start, so instead of all the Afterbirth+ content being unlocked from the get-go it gradually starts showing up throughout the game. If you're like me and you're really rusty and you never played that stuff to begin with that's great, but if you already have I can imagine that being a negative

I think I tried it once on my Vita and it ran ok but if I remember correctly you can only play the base game and neither of the expansions . Still fun but Afterbirth adds a ton of content, I'd play on PS4 if you have it there too

Afterbirth+ is bad yeah, but they fixed the really game breaking things about it. I just got back into doing the daily challenge recently and it's still fun as hell

I like Greed Mode a lot even though the Ultra Greed fight is super boring. I heard some of the new endgame Afterbirth+ stuff sucks but I haven't unlocked any of it yet

bunch of broken poo poo, the itms were super boring and watered down the pool, there were a bunch of room designs that completely fuckin sucked and were weighted to show up constantly, all the new bosses were bullet sponges. probbly some other poo poo too

The rooms, 9 billion hp enemies on the first 2 floors, and never ending spawn portals were all fixed but the items from + are all still the same and mostly lovely

Something cool about afterbirth+ is that mods don't disable achievement unlocks and can mitigate some of the lovely changes it makes.

I just saw Hush for the first time last night , never made it to him playing Rebirth on PS4 . I got owned by the second form but I had 8 black cat lives so at least I got some practice in

I never knew that I think it's just like a flat damage cap from individual sources so you can't instantly kill them with super high tear damage. Damage from lots of little sources like Guppy flies will still totally melt Ultra Greed though also just killed Hush  I had a couple Size Down effects and a bunch of orbitals , that last bullet hell phase would have been real hard otherwise
