The scene: Venderstookburg, a small farming town out in the rural areas near the western edge of the peninsula. Comrade Hill, the nom de guerre for a former CLF officer who came from Venderstookburg, talks with several other former CLF fighters from the town in a televised interview. Hill: "The thing that galls me the most is that, even after the Revolution, people still don't understand what the CLF is! I know that those in the cities were fed lies from the Green regime about the militias, but that they continue to parrot those lies astounds me! They're supposed to be the intellectual head of this whole drat thing. They're supposed to be able to know when dictators are lying to their faces, but when it comes to the self defense of the people they refuse, virulently refuse, to think and listen! The CLF, the militias, are not a top down force of 'strange, armed men' tramping about the rural townships and terrorizing the locals. They are the people of those towns taking up arms to defend themselves against tyranny! The CLF is merely an alliance of those groups, working together to better coordinate and accomplish more together than we could alone. Ramon, you remember when we formed the Venderstookburg militia, yeah?" Ramon: "Yeah, it was after the pastor had been jailed. We held a town meeting and asked for volunteers. God, I was only 19. Felt like a real big man when I came up to the stage with my dads rifle. They cheered us as we fired on the police station. We cut the bastards down, saved the pastor and told Greene's dogs that if they wanted this town they could fight for it." Hill: "That was a good day. What the elite don't understand, maybe can't understand, is that the people must defend themselves. Any CLF policing force will be made out of people from the community its policing. I often wonder if Dawn and the FDG even want the people to be able to defend themselves. Oh, I'm not trying to compare them to Greene, or even the narcissistic Selene, but Hughes seems unable to see the view of the worker. Of the farmer. Shes not a bad person, but I don't know if she really understands..."

Somewhat latter that day Comrade Hill responds to Stefan Borisov "To Chairman Borisov, The SLRF thanks you for your kind words in regards to our victory in Parliament. We would also like to thank all the proud citizens of Sitra who put their trust in us. We will bring about a change for the better in their lives. We could not have gotten so far were it not for both former militia members, dissidents of the Popular Resistance and the average Sitran citizen who went to the polls. In response to your statement the SLRF would like to speak on each of your points before addressing the cabinet positions. 1. The SLRF has no problem with radical education improvement and reform. Internal talks within the party have mentioned this and it is on our agenda. 2. The SLRF would be glad to work with the FDG on this goal. We strongly support both free education and letting the Sitran student specialize towards their strengths. 3. The SLRF finds this agreeable with a cavet. We want to work with forgein worker collectives. Worker solidarity is important to us and we wish to help our brothers and sisters in labor whether they be here on Sitra or other planets. 4. The SLRF do not oppose a study on joining the OPA and would gladly join if said study was favorable. In regards to minister positions. This People Coalition we are building is large and inclusive of many parties. We cannot afford to hand out 3 minister spots to just one other, smaller, party. Internal discussion has pointed towards giving the FDG control of the Ministry of the Interior. We trust that, able to put its full effort towards one task, the FDG will be good safe-keepers of the Sitran people and well prepared to help alleviate the massive stress put on the populace by years of civil war. Thank you, Comrade Hill SLRF mcclay fucked around with this message at 07:49 on Dec 2, 2017 |

Official Orders Comrade Hill, Minister of Defense Because of the rise of organized crime within Sirta, the Ministry of Defense has declared that all items and munitions used by the SDF must be inventoried to the most of the SDF's ability. This must be done to the greatest extent possible, criminals cannot be allowed to gain access to military fire power and if they have, we must know what has gone missing and track it down. Furthermore, after the munitions have be inventoried some are to be sent to the NPF in order to help them better get up to the task of tackling crime on Sirta. To this end the Ministry of Defense will be starting interviews in order to decide what men will be going to help the police and to guard Parliament. The police need training and with the dissolving of the presidential guard our officials need to be protected. After the inventory is done the construction and expansion of orbital infrastructure will begin. Shipyards, orbital defenses and habitats shall be constructed by the SDF. Sirta's orbit must be defended and a space fleet must be made if we are to protect our borders.
