Kal Risso hoisted himself into the partially-submerged megatanker and explored every nook and cranny of the burst ship's hull. Strangely enough, aside from the shallow waters lapping at the wreckage, there was nothing dangerous or otherwise inconvenient about this shipwreck at all. Not a single mutant or monster or mecha to stand in his way and threaten his continued attempts at existence with claw, tooth, and tracer cannon. None of those things at all... Kal was mystified, if anything.

This place was downright peaceful. Kal pulled down his mask and took a deep breath of the briny ocean breeze. The rust storm has dissipated entirely, and it was good to take a breather and dry off. He grinned and set to work finding a place to camp.

Kal was halfway through kicking in the door to the ex-captain's quarters when he was buzzed by an alert from his COMMS tablet:

Finally, he'd have a weapon beyond his own two arms! Could this day simply get any better?

"This shot's for you, Pertinax Ammofab!" Kal announced to the world.

He straightened both his arms in the direction of the door's deadbolts and squeezed off twin brachial spurs through the tops of his wrists that blasted through the rusted material of the door itself. Kal launched himself into a heaving kick in the same spot with his metal boot and cracked it open in one go.

He was in.

The survey remote scampered back, only for it to trigger a tripwire laid by Bobby-Jack, that itself connected to a jury-rigged detonator slammed to the side of an abandoned fuel tank. The resultant explosion was mighty impressive, certainly (enough for Bobby-Jack to pose with a flame-wreathed Cancer on the background with 'Vesuvius Space: No shrimp's too big for us' plastered on it via judicious real-time editing), but it was mostly fire and flame, less so actual explosive force. Would have made for a great show against mutants but against these foes the most it achieved was removing some incidental armor plating from Cancer's extremities.

Bobby-Jack sighed, too low to be picked up by the cam droids. The he turned to face one of them, speaking in conspiratorial tones.

"Now, I hear some talk about a wish-list? Now I have a little something to deliver our good friend Cancer here in person", he showcased his Hyperannihilator Round (the P.A.F. logo printed on its side clearly visible of course) and gave it a light kiss, "But the time isn't quite right yet. With some distaste, the burly wrecker claimed the Squidpack as a replacement. He was no fan of retreating, tactically or otherwise, but he could see the merit in not leaving it behind. Seeing no-one grab the EZ-snipe, he hauled it into the Enforcer cab, a little extra range was no bad thing.

"RIP, guys we never really met. Your deaths were probably stupid and easily avoidable. Amen."

Having recited the traditional funeral prayer of the Moon Wars, Stev hopped back in his Rig and got it in motion, shambling along despite the considerable damage it had already sustained.

"We've picked through the ruins around here already. Let's check the space between them, make sure there's nothing we missed."

He chucked a couple of Luxe, one to each of the others, from his own searching, and nodded.

"Sure, sounds like a plan to me."

Head between the wrecks, 05:08, and give 1 Luxe each to Stev and Cryo.

When Kal Risso woke in the morning he was immediately seized with a rush of excitement. He pulled on his boots and bounded out of the hatch from the captain's quarters and through the halls to the megatanker's main deck. Just outside the exit, as though sitting on his very doorstep, was a box labelled with the distinctively utilitarian markings of Pertinax Ammo Fabrication Systems. Ah, it had arrived! Kal tore into the grey fibercard packaging with a reckless zeal, a smile spreading across his unmasked face.

It had arrived: the DPM Rifle he'd always wanted! Now Kal could hunt down his targets from afar instead of always feeling like he was the hunted one.

Once he'd gotten through the manual and re-assembled all the modular components piecemeal, Kal took a practice shot at a piece of scrap jutting out from the water some several clicks away. He muttered to himself, readjusted the wind settings, fired once again, nodded slightly, and then slung the rifle over his shoulder before setting off for yet another day as a surviving participant in the Wrecking Crew.

[BOBBY-JACK JOHNSON / HP: 3 / MOVE: 3 / LUXE: 6 / CYBER: BONE LACING]

Bobby-Jack whistled in slightly fearful admiration.

"Seems like Lucinda doesn't play around when it comes to groundside devastation", he lifted a finger and looked directly into a camera, "Here's a piece of tactical advice for all you pre-conscriptee age kids watching: even if your nest is really good and you went to effort to make it all cozy-like, it's still better to abandon it than to get bombed. This will be on the test, the test being you chased by ravenous Ice Raiders in the midst of strategic bombing runs across the surface of Ganymede", he tapped his temple with an index finger, "So better heed it well, you hear?"

With that, Bobby-Jack took his things and chose to relocate.

Abandoning ambush position, moving to Hex 01.01.

"Hey!" Stev yelled as the... seriously, what was that guy's deal? Some kind of samurai or something? What the heck did he think he was doing? Anyways, he was clearly going for the Strike Beacon, which... well, they might not end up using it, but it sure as hell didn't belong to that rear end in a top hat.

"Eat hammer!" he shouted as he swung his weapon directly into the man's face. Wow. People really weren't built to stand up to that kind of force, were they?

Kal Risso was lining up his shot onto the cockpit of the solitary Gamma Enforcer when an honest-to-gods-be-damned time cop suddenly burst into view within his sight's crosshairs in some kind of man-sized tesseract.

Holy Frijoles! Kal blinked repeatedly to reboot his digi-contacts' mainframes in case they were on the fritz, and - that wasn't just the spice talking! That was the real deal - a Continuity Ranger - what were they doing here? The Ranger spoke to himself in a sonorous monotone:

The anachronistic antagonist seemed to be searching for someone specific to deliver to chrono-justice. Kal Risso followed his instincts when it came to authority figures suddenly appearing from interdimensional rifts and ducked for cover. Better to avoid this guy entirely... Who knows, maybe the time-traveler will leave this location on his own accord?

Bobby-Jack could hear the telltale grunts of the mutants, and the soft whirring of the survey remote's drill arms behind him as he sprinted out of the danger zone, reacting in no way in particular expect by releasing yet another inky cloud and trying to get his legs to move even faster.

He weighed up their options, with the Aeropath in particular looking dangerous. Still, his shotgun had enough spread and coverage to force both the mutie and the tech-guy to keep their heads down, which should free up Cryo to stick a scoped Stinger shot through the remaining target.
