[STEV ANSAHOK / HP: 4 / MOVE: 2 / 26L, 8F / CYBER: RIG JACK /MUTATION: AMYGDALIC HYPERCEPHALY] RIG HP: 1/6 It wasn't exactly hard to make the Enforcer look like a hunk of disabled scrap laying by the vault door--it was already most of the way there, after all. He took deep breaths as he prepared himself for what was coming, and then held his breath as the squad... no, that was a proper assault force approached. He couldn't see Cryo or Midge from where he was positioned; only the hulking mass of the Beta Gunman as it approached to investigate. Closer... closer... The moment was going to be soon... Just waiting!

Pertinax Ammunition Fabrication Systems may be a very specific name, but like most omnicorps they make pretty much anything you can think of. Someone once pitched the idea of self-heating, self-cleaning toilet seats with an extending audiokinetic emitter rod for waterless bidet functionality. They even make slap patches, nanite infused one-shot medkits, suspended animation bags and field trauma autodocs. Their passion is helping people put holes in other people, but sometimes, they help patch those holes up. And sometimes, just sometimes, they send experimental regenerative nano-infusions. Somewhere, an experimental medikit with Kal Risso's name on it is loaded onto a drone, and an IOU for 1 (one) luxe is sent to both Stev and Cryo. [BOBBY-JACK JOHNSON / HP: 2/3 / MOVE: 3 / LUXE: 12 / CYBER: BONE LACING] The earth shook as Cancer made its way towards the hunting grounds, coming to inspect the silo its remote drone had found Bobby-Jack in. Except Bobby-Jack wasn't in the silo anymore. He was hiding before a little rock, managing a grin despite the deep gash on his side. He put a finger in front of his mouth as he faced a nearby cam-droid, as if to usher the audience into silence. "A lil' lesson from your good friend Bobby-Jack, kids, if you're still watching. A lesson about life, something that I've learned", he pat his side, where the wound was, "First: You've only got so much blood in ye. Don't let anybody convince you to throw it away unless the payoff is truly worth it." "And second", he brandished his rifle. Observant readers might notice it hadn't been fired once during the entire game, "Supplies are precious", he took the P.A.F. Hyperannihilator round, and brought it close to the droid for some detailed footage. Gingerly, he loaded it into his battered rifle. He set the rifle on the stone, taking a look at the giant rig that was near the silo he had looted a while back. "So learn to make them count. Fight smart. Not hard." Bobby-Jack pulled the trigger, slamming the bullet straight into the very front of Cancer, the hyperalloy tip penetrating a good 10 inches into the frontal armor. Not something that would phase something like Cancer. The resultant mini-nuke as the experimental isotope mix underwent rapid fission, however, did. The entire frontsection of Cancer was blown to smithereens, exposing most of its internals. Internals that suffered total structural failure as Cancer staggered backwards due to the force of the blow, right into the silo, and caused the whole thing to topple on top of it. A mechanical leg twitched from under the rubble. Once. Twice. Then no more. "And third", Bobby-Jack said, a smile creeping on his face. "Always, always shoot to kill." "Bobby-Jack out." What had Kal done to deserve this? The scaly thing started unfolding itself from its nether-space, its eyes wildly swiveling around in its sockets, its nostrils flaring and its tongue slavering with a faintly glowing secretion. It had heard Kal Risso's approach, and now it was seeking out prey. Fight or flight? This was the fourth Squamous Horror Kal had encountered, and he knew first-hand they were particularly tough customers and devilishly tricky to escape. Inside his rig-pod, Kal Risso flipped a coin to see what he'd do. Heads (1): Test Out Rig-Ripper, Tails (2): Bobby-Jack Special: 1d2 1 Kal Risso broke out the rig-ripper attached to his Beta Enforcer's mecha-gauntlet and took it for a spin. "You said you wanted some Squamous Horror hide, PAFS director? How about a first offering?!" He leapt down into the abyss and revved up the rig-ripper to blinding speed. Rig-Ripper on the Fourth Squamous Horror: 1d8 5 e: (Imagine this happened before the last update by Bee Bonk and it will make sense!) [STEV ANSAHOK / HP: 4 / MOVE: 2 / 26L, 8F / CYBER: RIG JACK /MUTATION: AMYGDALIC HYPERCEPHALY] There wasn't much time left before exfiltration, but Stev intended to make the most of it. He hadn't come all this way not to get at those goodies, after all. He stepped through the smouldering ruins of the vault door and peered around, finally spotting some signs denoting what was where. Stockpile... eh, he'd have to pay to haul the stuff out anyways. May as well leave it. The rest sounded promising, but none moreso than the Biofoundry. That Voice was starting to get annoying, and despite what the Lung Bandit had told him, Stev had a sneaking suspicion that maybe having extra brain stuck in there wasn't a straight upgrade. At least, not the way that the Bandit had done it. Surely random machinery in a vault in a middle of a blasted wasteland would be better at brain surgery! Setting down his stuff, Stev hoisted himself onto the operating table and laid down as a truly terrifying array of robotic arms, some armed with incredibly sharp knives, started probing his skull. "Make this quick, will you? I've got a flight to catch." Using the Biofoundry to upgrade Amygdalic Hypercephaly. For exfiltration, Stev will be travelling light, taking his Scope and the Tuned K-Hammer, for a total cost of 30 Luxe

[CRYO / HP: 3 / MOVE: 2 / FUEL: 8 / LUXE: 25 / CYBER: SPINAL ANTENNA / MUTATIONS: TRAUMATIC SCLERODERMA] Cryo watched as a mushroom cloud curled on the horizon. Not that it was particularly interesting in and of itself, someone was always nuking someone down here, but this one was suspiciously close to where the Cancer was supposed to be. And sure enough, she could already feel that telltale twinge in her spine as the repulsors on the extraction craft came closer. A shame the team couldn't pick through the vault more thoroughly, but the ride home only touched down briefly and the pilots were not the type to wait around. There was time for just one brief detour into the medbay, though. Use the Medifactor to add 1 max HP As for extraction: Dr. Stinger - 10 Scope - 20 Strike Beacon - 30 Total: 60 Luxe

A Sudden-rear end conclusion, Haze. Can we talk about that Squidpack meta? Squidpacks have always been desirable items, Ocho, but the models TeuthisCorp provided for testing this time seem to have been game-changers. What's this I hear about spine and thyroid cancer, though? Seems like a righteous rad-goiter would do a number on a promising career in rig-fustigation. Apparently there's a little bleed from the power source on these no-recharge models. TeuthisCorp is generously providing complementary spinal taps and hormone panels for all Wreckers, and a very competitive rate on lesion removal if they agree to the corporate testing protocol. Free spinal taps and cheap lesion removal! I gotta get me one of those! Sadly for fans of Squidpants Johnson, TeuthisCorp has also decided to move away from the no-recharge model until the process can be somewhat refined. The Teuthis spokesbeing promises, however, that the next rollout will have better ergonomic weight distribution, and 67% fewer leaks! 6 survivors, though! Been a sweet while since we've had numbers that shuàidāi on an entirely fresh pack of meatballs! Assuming they wind up back in the pod, which, statistically speaking, is almost inevitable given the typically poor financial discipline of the types that wind up as Wreckers, we should have a particularly formidible bunch of players for the next game. Our Producer assures us, though, that WCLTD Murderologists have made sure that the next combat arena will provide a challenge comensurate with the skills on display. Broof'n, Hazel. Bottom almost seemed like it was on the Wreckers' team, sometimes. There should be no such problems with RIME. Spill those bean-rear end deets, my Hazel! In due time, honored Reverend sir. We'll take a short break to get RIME ready to go, and in the meantime... Applications are re-open! Wreckers: Make a post listing your name, portrait, class, and Orokos rolls for loadout. When you see your name and vitals on the broadcast, you're in! Since the game is round-based, if you play a wrecker, you'll want to keep up. The game updates every evening, if possible! Veterans: Just tell me you're back in, and select your Veteran Benefits! Veteran Benefits posted:Female VO: Guests of WRECKING CREW receive... Sponsors: Just participate in the thread. If you don't have a Wrecker on the board, you can post as a sponsor! Wreckers will upload luxe from the combat zone that you can use to send materiel support...or "support"! Unlike wreckers, sponsors have no expectation of involvement; jump in and out as you like! Sponsors posted:Introducing Exclusive Sponsorships! Check out these changes!
