is there a mod to make starcraft 2 real time with pause for the campaign missions

like how the gently caress is that not an option, just let me loving pause so i can issue 12 loving build orders and coordinate 4 murderteams, otherwise i'm just going to group every unit into a single "army" and that gets boring even if it is totally effective

imagine how much better Persona 5 would be without the absolute mountain of interstitial loading screens/short convos/classroom scenes/all that bullshit

like it's a great game but seriously imagine being able to turn off "everything but when you're letting me play the game" :stare:

it would be a dungeon crawler, which is a genre that exists. but i play persona for all that stuff, smt is what youre looking for if you want a "gameplay only" option

no no no. i'm only referring to the fact that roughly 10 of the 70 hours i have in P5 consists of me staring at the loading screen because the game goes "okay loading screen... for a 30 second conversation with your cat that just amounts to hey remember this plot point... now loading screen again... now a 10 second conversation from one of your friends inviting you somewhere... now loading screen... now calendar screen... now loading screen... now subway/school scene where people are saying the same rumors you've heard 20 times already... now loading screen..." etc

the social link stuff is "gameplay", i would never want to axe that. but an option to limit the sheer number of pointless screens would literally shave 10-20 hours off and that's kind of a big deal if you don't have time to play games all day every day or you want to play lots of games

Well I mean, I'm not saying it's a huge thing in a game but the other side is pretty much arguing that P5 is "you gently caress your little sister and your teacher and also hate gays: the game".

hey hey

also there's only one gay panic scene but woooooooooof it is a bad one

i think it's more fair to dunk on the gay thing in p5 when those characters are literally modeled after a japanese gay comedy duo who pushed back against stereotyping gay people in comedy

i think it's also fair because the central thesis of the entire persona series is "be who you really are, gently caress the haters, and also the cops"

Pillars is great but it would be so much better if it did the thing that AFAIK only Dragon Age has done, where it gives you a button to slowly advance time while paused. it doesn't sound like a big difference but it would be wayyyyyy better than the finicky pause/unpause system especially when you have a bunch of auto-pause options set and often you'll hit space bar to pause when the game just paused FOR you and now you've actually UNPAUSED the game

like seriously why hasn't anyone else done the "advance frame by frame" button. one might even say it's an... awesome button

It's difficult to have discourse on the internet

i've said it before but it truly baffles me that the internet has slowly and inexorably moved away from any kind of two-sided conversation. Facebook and Reddit are just used by most people for popularity or getting tons of likes/upvotes. i mean there's a reason this is the only forums i ever look at; it's one of the few places people still have conversational chats

i mean jesus in the late 90s i knew a hundred or so people who put up with an HTML chatroom that was slow as gently caress because we were all cool (debatable) and there to talk about music and whatnot. as far as i can tell there just... aren't non-sexual chatrooms on the internet anymore, something that's only kind of coming back into vogue with Discord

i wish hideo kojima didn't feel like everything has to be perfectly epic, i think his games would be much better if they were shorter and came out more often. like MGS4 was proof of this, that could easily have been split into two games, and that way each half could maybe have more actual gameplay between the movies. i get the feeling Death Stranding is going to be the same way, and also that because of this attitude he has, it might not even come out this decade.
