ive been psyching myself up to have a big queer summer. ive been moving away from big draggy femme presentations and now im doing all kinds of fun nude and other subtle makeup which is a billion times harder but i look fuckin incroyable now that im not slapping 17 layers of heavy stage makeup on. i have a closet full of fun poo poo to wear but since covid i havent really been going out but im trying to change that this year because i miss seeing and being seen in queer spaces. ive been going to goth night and the queer brazillian funk night to dance all winter but its fuckin cold here and i wanna wear cuter stuff than ive been. its been really fun and satisfying meditating on how to go from draggy to more understated but also im anticipating a lot of body glitter this summer :3

makeup journey has been wonderful. weather has been getting better so not only do i like being out more, its easier to dress cute and ive been buying a ton of skater style dresses to round out my spongebob squarepants rear end frame and add some ~*curves*~ i cannot say enough nice things about nudestix, not only do they have good shades for brown folks, but i can do a subtle smoky in like 5 minutes. its done wonders for my esteem, especially since i set a “no winged liner” challenge for my spring looks. i was at goth night last week and instead of sticking out and having big main character energy like i do with drag i was pretty understated in a fairly simple black leather dress and it felt really nice to fade into the background. i danced with a ton of folks and at least a few told me how hot i looked so im feelin pretty good. my big quest now is cute but not sexy shoes for the summer. well see how that goes
