I'd like to add Tiger Meat, a food very near and dear to South Dakotans. Possilbe TMI for those undertaking the challenge: I will add that foodsafety.gov has a blog post specifically dedicated to telling people not to prepare and consume tiger meat.

Is this an east river thing? I've lived in Rapid City my entire life and never heard of it.

Very probably. I think it extends into Minnesota and North Dakota too. Wikipedia says Wisconsin too, and that it's a German thing.

Beverage suggestions:

Prairie Fire
South Dakota Martini

Yeah, a real prairie fire is basically just a 21st birthday shot, so warm rail liquor is pretty appropriate. I usually see it as cheap tequila with a bunch of tabasco.

I love seeing the Jucy Lucy (yes it's spelled that way). The real deal is a cheeseburger, but the the cheese inside the patty (preferably with pickles and minced sauteed onions), invented at Matt's Bar in Minneapolis and I will not believe otherwise.
