Ivar needs a united army to take over England. He has to go back to claim some kind of leadership position. This was a punitive raid so they don't have the manpower for an invasion force.

The bee death was cool and good. I agree wholeheartedly with the person complaining about the lack of shield walls and the lovely melees. It looks so stupid and doesn't convey any type of momentum. It's like a bunch of people having duels in a field.

life is killing me posted:It was worth watching to have some kind of continuity. All the best and most unique battles on this show have had shield walls but they have abandoned them for generic slashing.
