Just picked up the game. The OP says not to bother powering up stuff you catch before lv10, but I caught two 90+% mons - still don't bother with them?

Is it better to power up and then evolve, or vice versa, or does it matter? I'm having trouble getting a grasp of how CP works in relation to IVs and levels and poo poo.

Away all Goats posted:It doesn't matter. Use an IV calculator. I forget what the iphone one is called but for android Calcy IV is probably the best IV scanner. I am using Calcy, that's why I'm thinking about evolving this little guy at all. So, powering up increases levels, better IVs -> more CP, higher level -> more CP, higher evolution -> more CP? Is that about the gist?
