Don't show up late. Odds are good you'd be left with nobody to raid with, because everyone else got there on time and used their pass already.

You can beat Mewtwo with a small handful of people, assuming everyone's decent level with reasonable counters. And his base catch rate is high - about double a normal Legendary - so your odds of catching him are good with golden berries and great/excellent curves. (Don't get me wrong - he could still run on you anyway, because random numbers are like that - ask me about the 96% who ran on me - but your odds are solid compared to other 5* raids.)

Oh yeah - so yesterday I had an EX Raid. The gym was red, and there were 8 of us blues attacking it all at once. We had it down to a single Blissey who was getting near the berry limit, like four minutes before the raid started. And somehow the red team started filling the gym - a snorlax, then a dragonite, etc. - while we were still attacking it. I have no idea how that was possible, but eh, I caught him anyway (91%) so I'm largely over it.
