I tried to like Xenus 2, but it feels and plays like a Precursors reskin. Like, same skills, same weapon progression, same item functionality, just different names and models. Not sure which one was first, but Precursors at least has the bonus of going into space. Though on the other hand, I remember the space parts being very bad. Does Arcanum count? It's one of the best isometric rpgs of that era. I'd maybe even put it above Fallout in some respects. But the combat was terrible and there were some really annoying mandatory parts (loving dwarf mines, god).
