And Coulson is dying from some space poison that Kree had on its blade.

I don't like this time loop thing

It's the kind of thing a writing team could look at and go "hey you know what we can milk another couple of seasons out of the loop happening again"

I liked how they tried to be tense with the return trip when we already *know* they made it because of time fuckery.

I can help

I like that they had that final scene there, where there's some hope for Earth in the post-apocalyptic future and not going welp that timeline is hosed (and so are all the people in it) but we made it back and we will create a new one (somehow). So Flint staying behind serves some actual purpose.

I also do like that they are sticking with the fixed loop theory although that (combined with the fact that they can't expose all of the season's plot so soon) has created some writing issues (like Zombie Yo-Yo speaking in very vague terms).

Of course they'll have to somehow break the loop, otherwise it's all pointless. I just hope they handle it well.

How long's the hiatus going to be?

About a month. Probably won't be any breaks for the back half though.

nooneofconsequence posted:

I really liked that because that was basically the entire point of his character. He was a pampered fancy lad who wanted to keep his hands clean and let someone else do the fighting for him even though that kind of brought shame to his race's warrior culture. Even when he was on "suicidal steroid rage PVP," he was probably the only Kree on that station that humans could have possibly defeated while on that substance. So even when he was on his last legs in an act of desperation said "You know what I'm going to abandon my personal strategies/principals and go back to my culture's old way of doing things as a last grasp attempt at some sort of validation/honor" he was still woefully unsuccessful. Had he instead given that suicide magic sauce to literally any of his guards instead of himself and sent them after the humans, that roided up Kree bodyguard probably could have been able to stop them.

Also props to the guy who played the main Kree bodyguard who was in the room with Kasius while he was going crazy and talking to Sinarra's corpse. Even under a pile of blue makeup he was able to facially portray the emotions of "Oh poo poo this is bad, our leader is going loving nuts - oh wait he's starting to glance in my direction I can't let my face betray the fact that I think he's gone loving nuts or he might randomly kill me"

With the smallest of chances of actually being the case, I can't help but hope the "Phil is going to die" plotline is being brought up to somehow bring the series back in line with movie continuity Phil being dead. All so that there's a tie in for Infinity War where Thanos brings some people back from the "dead" that the audience would recognize, like Agent Coulson. Movie only fans would go, "Oh yeah, Loki killed him". Movie+TV fans would go, "Oh yeah, he again died recently." If they're careful with the dialogue, they could have it work without having to mention Tahiti or the series, since Marvel seems so to include TV stuff.

This would be hilarious if only because then he would pop back up in AoS the next week and be like "So, what'd I miss while I was dead this time?"

Nope! Future Yoyo also said that Yoyo should hold on to Mack as long as possible (or something like that), so he wouldn't have died just yet.

I don't think it would happen, but count me in for the "Coulson dies and is revived in the next Avengers" party. That would be awesome.
