I'm going to watch at least 1 anime movie in a theater. God I hope Heaven's Feel Part 2 comes out in Korea before the end of the year or I'm hosed. Maybe Pixar movies count.

I have 24 shows on my "on hold" list and will clear those 24 shows out either by watching or dropping them by the end of 2018 Dropping is the easy way out of that but most of them are shows I do want to finish. There are a few on there I was thinking about cutting loose though so I don't want to commit to watching some crap I don't like though lol Mostly I'm just tired of all this half-finished stuff lingering around and I need to poo poo or get off the pot

My new year's resolution is to keep a positive attitude, keep posting, and try not to burn out on anime. I went from 0-to-Otaku pretty fast this year. If I keep my foot on the gas that's probably not super great. As part of this I'm gonna try to purposely expamd my genre palate. I tend to stick to rather lightweight supernatural action and comedy, which is cool and there's a ton of it, but I would like to give more time to the ACCAs and Rakugos of the world.

Might as well be a tad bold: In 2018 I want to finish: Chihayafuru March Comes In Like A Lion Shirobako Sabagebu Diebuster Yuruyuri And Kyousougiga. I also want to finish at least 2 shows from each season .

In 2018 I want to read the entirety of, or in some cases finish reading, or catch up to current if ongoing, these manga: Battle Angel Alita Nausicaa Skip Beat (I think I left off around chapter 165?) Helck (I was around chapter 55) Horimiya Ran and the Gray World Wandering Emanon Kotonoba Drive Yukibana no Tora, even if I have to learn to read Japanese because scanlators are heartlessly ignoring Higashimura-sensei's first seinen! This one is why I'm not gonna Toxx because there's every likelyhood I'll be staring at its empty Batoto page this same time next year. I also want to put on 20 lb of muscle onto my skinny bones. When somebody brings up a series I haven't read as "it's a classic you should really read" I'm going to actually find a way to read it. Every time somebody brings up Nausicaa or YYH or Slam Dunk or some other series that were significant to the genre I keep saying I'm go read them and then I never do.

I'm clearing out all the anime I've got languishing on MAL even if it kills me I'm going to finish every anime on my currently watching and on-hold lists as of the end of 12/31. I get three drops but otherwise I have to finish everything. I don't have to watch the whole series though, so I can drop Durarara if I get tired after S1, for example. Since I didn't end up watching any of the things I planned on in 2017 on account of being a piece of poo poo, my resolution is to watch the anime. ...or at least, finish s1 of march lion. Possibly even two seasons, but I'm keeping the bar low for now.
