Just saw that Amazon canceled JCVJ. gently caress you Bezos! This and perhaps Man in High Castle were the only of their shows worth watching so that's a bummer as it was pretty fun and great to see JCVD again in a self-aware role.

Banshee is a great guilty pleasure entertainment that you don’t have to feel guilty about. Tons of extreme violence and nudity mixed with everything from Neo Nazis to Native Americans. The last season is a bit of a letdown but well worth watching all of it.

Someone needs to watch the best show on Amazon, Patriot or even Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
I've seen Patriot but forgot it's on Amazon, yeah it's good. Marvelous Mrs. Maisel looks ok but I doubt it features many splits or high kicks unfortunately.

Someone should make The Wire of medical dramas.

That's pretty much The Knick.

I generally agree, but one specific exception for me is X-Files. I've always maintained that the best episodes of the X-Files are the MotW ones. The plot arc is straight garbage, always has been.
I feel like the X-Files is a special case because at some point the arc just becomes a nonsensical mess, and I'm sure someone here will point out that it was always that way. But I actually really enjoyed all the shady conspiracy stuff in smoke-filled rooms until, like, the first movie. At the same time of course, some of the top episodes ever were MotW.

The UK seasons of Strike Back do this pretty well, the first season was two episode arcs, but each episode was 90ish minutes. This new season is 2 5 episode arcs and the first one was pretty good.
Speaking of Strike Back, this was the show I wanted to watch but I couldn't remember the exact name and ended up watching Strike instead. It was... ok, but not at all what I expected.

I've only seen the pilot so far but I got hooked pretty much instantly. Show's gonna own.

Also skip the original season of Strike Back. If you see Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead you're seeing the crappy season that deals with soldiers crying about killing bad guys and that it makes them sad.
Just started with S2 and it's pretty fun, there enough good action oriented shows nowadays.

Strike Back owns but does it just get more and more ridiculous? Just happening to be at the hotel at the right/wrong time is one thing, but sending a single white guy into Mogadishu in S3 is pretty  Not complaining though.

Is Crazy Ex-girlfriend good? I watched a couple of episodes and still can't quite decide whether I like it or how much.

Yeah it’s good. And if you’ve watched ep 2 you’ve already had the worst song, so
The songs were definitely the least favorite part of it so far so let's see where this goes.
