You are wrong. There are two ways steroids can and do commonly end up in supplements. First of all, the manufacturer can be lazy and not clean the pill (or powder) machine when its time to switch over from steroids to supplements. This is often the argument for tainted supplements.

The second way is shady manufacturers know that their customers want steroids but they can't be sold on the shelf if they are labelled as steroids, so they quietly put it in and let their customers figure out that their pill "works". Once they get a notice from some government agency to cut it out, they shut down manufacturing of that pill and start making another steroid pill or powder.

Dana also said that Conor will need to fight soon if he wants to keep his belt. If his plan is to wait for the fall, then they'll vacate the title and make it Khabib vs Ferguson for the LW title.

Penne has been suspended for 18 months for steroids. She was apparently taking some supplement at the direction of a doctor who was unfamiliar with the needs of UFC athletes. She tried to get a retroactive TUE, but couldn't get it because that supplement was not medically necessary.

Cyborg also took an actual medication for a bona-fide medical condition. Penne took a sketchy supplement because a doctor said "hey, I think this supplement is good".

Amanda Nunes briefly toyed with the idea of going down to 125 to grab that belt. A nutritionist figured out what she'd have to do to make that weight, and after just 2 days of trying that diet, she basically said "gently caress that poo poo, I'll just go fight Cyborg instead".

"Ok, well if I'm fighting someone good put me on a big card so I can get paid more" Fair enough lets see what we can do...oh poo poo sorry we can't, headline this card instead
"Nah gently caress fighting the best i'm going to keep kicking cans in my poo poo division, and go play some video games" Ok, don't call yourself the best then

DJ has discovered that Dana White really, really wants the DJ vs TJ fight. Its probably not even for economic reasons, maybe its because he personally likes TJ, or its the fight fan in him that wants to see it, whatever the reason is, Dana White perhaps unwisely let it slip that he badly wants that match to happen.

DJ isn't asking for 8 figures, he just wants to be on the big July international fight week card, which would then probably mean he gets $1.5-2 million or so instead of 500-700k. This is the only time he'll ever have leverage of any kind, if DJ thought that Dana didn't care as much about the fight as he apparently does, he probably would have just agreed to it last year on some kind of UFC on FOX. But he knows Dana wants the fight, so he's trying to get paid what is really not an unreasonable amount of money.

That threat is the only way DJ can force Dana to put him on the card he wants to be on. If Dana White decides to call his bluff and demonstrates that he doesn't quite care about the fight as much as DJ and his managers think he does, then the jig will be up, but they think Dana wants the fight badly enough that he'll just go ahead and kick him another million or so on a card that is going to hopefully print a shitton of money.

So far Silva's defense appears to be a threat. "We think he should be a 1st-time offender under USADA, and if he gets 2 years or more, he'll retire!"

He may be facing as many as 8 years under USADA since its probably a 2nd violation, and there's aggravating circumstances to double the recommended 4 years.

CABMMA (Brazil) and Mohegan sun are adopting California's new weight-cutting rules. All of the weight-cutting rules will be in effect for Brazil this weekend. (meaning you also can't be too heavy the day before weigh-in and on fight day after rehydration) Mohegan Sun will adopt most, but not all of the recommendations due to their smaller budget, they are basically going along with the cheap and easy to implement regulations. The Mohegan tribe is relevant because Bellator usually hires them to regulate their events in countries that don't have an AC for MMA.

Alcantara had to get cleared by California to fight at 135 this weekend because CA recommended he move up to 145 and Brazil told him to clear that up, so he got a doctor so sign off and California basically shrugged and said "ok fine, but you'd better not be heavy again."

Anders was given an extra hour and made weight. Machida did not have to agree to the extra hour and could have just grabbed the 20% fine, but his team decided to give it to them because apparently the fighters were having problems getting hot water last night in their hotel rooms for their weight cuts. (lol Brazil) This may have also contributed to the weight cut failure by the other 2 guys. (ie, they couldnt get hot water, said "gently caress it", and went to bed)
