HM: DALYS vs KAHO KOBAYASHI CMLL 4/23 Arena Puebla Kaho is a great plucky babyface, and they do a great job of going by feel here. There's a clunky spot that Dalys improvises off of and just adds to the match. Then Dalys starts bullying Kaho with some of the most brutal looking hair spots you have ever seen. Probably totally safe, but brutal. Great match.

HM: Jay White vs. David Finlay - NJPW Road to Wrestling Dontaku (4/24) Finlay and Henare were absolutely made on this show. This was on the verge of an MOTYC for me. Great story playing off their young boy past together, great action. This show is definitely worth a watch. The Okada/Tanahashi interactions were really interesting too.

Nthing the HMs for Ishii/Henare and Finlay/White. Crowd really wanted to see the upsets in both. The crowd heat in turn helped to make the matches pop a little more than they would have otherwise.

I think I should've watched a couple of their young lions matches before this but the callbacks I did catch were well done and I enjoyed it a lot. The Henare Ishii match was really good too. I wish my friends from the Taguchi Japan C-Team won though.
